It shall be mine. Elevate the 23 to mythical proportions, this will. Soma is so much more than the sum of their parts. Not all heroes wear capes, they always say.

Dear Vlad Kreimer, i bought the Soma Utilities. Such a nice idea. but i opend it. And there is NO OLD tech "in the spirit of" parts in it! Just aluminium small surface mounted smd capacitors. Never the less, i will keep it. I like it as mod board, and probably mod it with quality parts. Ok the Alps potentio-meters are nice but please sell this for 299,-

I only just got a P23 and I'm gassing for this hard but I desperately want to see someone actually using it.
    Vlad, give us a demo!

Honestly it would not be dynamic or exciting but it could be helpful. Those utilities are nice and many say are essential but they are hard to make content on that is engaging. Mults, LDRs, touch plates, attenuators, and amps are not that exciting but they can be incredibly useful. You could check some videos on Eurorack or VCV utility modules that perform the same functions as one of the section on the Soma Utilities to learn a bit about how the utility could benefit your patches. It would not be an exact comparison but I wager you'd get a lot of useful similarities from that.

I wonder how many people watch this and understand all the possibilities. I sure don t :)

I am sure I only get around 1/3 - 1/2 of it and that is more than enough to make me very excited to learn it exists. The one thing that I bet applies to everyone is, the more you touch it the more you would start to understand it and the uses and possibilities. Everyone.

the only thing stoping me from getting one of these, is the lack of example vids of this Utilities device. It's difficult to get it with out seeing and hearing it.

Utilities don't produce sound. These are super basic utilities. The essential bits between the sound sources is ultimately what this amazing box is.

@@Tofu_Pilot ya , I get it. I"m talking about hearing the sound reaction to the usage. how does it affect the result of it's implementation .

This is a device I am looking forward to connect to our Pulsar-23 during Psycho-Physiological Therapy sessions according the Open Systems Adaptation approach. In this therapy micro voltages produced in the frontal cortex, measured on the skin of the forehead are amplified to generate noise and sounds that correspond with alpha, beta, gamma and delta wave patterns of the brain. These in there turn are used as bio feedback during the therapy. If this Pulsar-23 Utilities device can help us in this prosess, we will certainly leave a youtube movie showing its use.

Will be having fun with it this week. 🔥💖
I love that SOMA made this for Pulsar-23 but I will also be using it with my Eurorack system and older analog synths like the Arp 2600.
