    It’s weird to see music marketing advice being given from someone who actually knows what they are talking about. It’s seems like all of them are people who wear yeezys, pretend they’re famous, and probably cheat on their depressed girlfriend. I will be buying both of the books bro thank you

    jesse, your channel is like bitcoin in 2011, it's a matter of time before it goes to the moon. the balance of passion, knowledge, and no-bullshit approach is Extremely My Jam. i have also recently come to find that you contributed kazoo on 'Dr. Demento Covered in Punk'.
    thank you for everything.

      Lol appreciate that. I mixed and engineered most of that record and did a few other instruments on it. One of my faves.

    Man, your videos often overwhelm me with the sheer volume of work & content that you're suggesting - but all in a very good way. This is the first one where I'm feeling like 'hey, maybe I can actually do this.' Thanks dude!

    You're the man Jessie. I have a question:
    I am a very funny dude and did sketch comedy and improv comedy in college. I weave this element into some off my more fun songs. but at the same time, I make very vulnerable music and make deep post on instagram a lot. My post go from deep to downright silly and I am trying to figure out if this will work? its an honest reflection of myself but I don't want to dilute my vulnerable work with people thinking I am too goofy to take serious, but I don't wanna appear to serious to joke.
    Will this work or should I ditch one aspect?

    • @Musformation
      @Musformation  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Look at Phoebe Bridgers always joking being a Beavis but also makes seriously deeply emotional shit. You just gotta make sure you watch the balance and react by showing both sides

      Musformation I grew up riding my bike as a kid in his parking lot at his location in New Windsor, NY. A few years ago I went to school for audio engineering and realized that I was a naive adolescent who was pedaling his Huffy in the parking lot of a legendary engineer. Check out @eameshigh on Spotify. He crushed the master. Were you with wws at that location?

    Hey Jesse, I am a bit confused. The "What are your strengths that may work well on social media" and "what does your audience want from you" is confusing me a bit, are they not technically the same question? Wouldn't your strengths technically be what your audience wants from you, I am having a hard time not just repeating the list on both.

    • @GilBeloGil
      @GilBeloGil 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, amazing info on these videos, you really have been opening up my eyes to something I have ignored.

    • @Musformation
      @Musformation  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Funny enough they aren’t always. Say a artist is very good looking they may want the artist to do pics in fits but their strength may be in more info vetted thibgs like poetry. It’s finding those separate things and then seeing what wirks

      @@Musformation I see, the artists perception of himself vs the audience's perception of the artist.

    The work you do outside your music does seem to be getting more and more time consuming. What sort of a balance, in your opinion is a realistic amount to strike between the two with the time you have available?
