@@Techscrews couldn't find the Geekria pads via Amazon's search... the OEM pads only cost me 2x your price, so not so awfula as 5x...

Since I saw it mentioned that these pads are glued on-
These pads are replaceable. I've changed a set on 2 different HD598, ,my own and a friends who I helped since I had already done mine.
The pads are GLUED onto a plastic ring. That plastic ring snaps onto the headphones and can be very difficult to remove without damaging the pad, especially on older pads (I completely ripped mine off when trying to pull it off).
But that is the reason why some people think these are glued on, because the pads are glued on...just not directly to the headphones themselves. Search replacement HD598 pads and the picture will show the plastic ring the pads are glued onto.
Just buy pads with plastic ring included 🙂
@@Techscrews All replacement pads come with the ring already attached. People were just saying that you CANNOT remove the pads because they are glued to the headphones.
They are NOT. They are glued to the plastic ring that attaches to the headphones.
FYI the inside part is not removable on the HD598 SR
Was going to get another pair of these since my old earpads were so dirty when my friend said “just replace the earpads fivehead”, and I haven’t looked back since.

How about the top padding of the headset? Mine got tore up from the hook i used to hang my 598s
Looks like it's just adhesive, the replacements I got came with the headrest piece and there's a piece of plastic to remove to expose the adhesive.
After looking at the current headband on mine I noticed a small piece starting to peel up.
Everytime I try to remove the pads they rip. Every single time. :(

просто поиск в ebay «hd599 cable» и выберите свой любимый. разницей в ухо не услышит, если кабель не будет более 10м или больше

I didn't know I could remove the pads on my HD 598's........ I bought them over a year ago and hadn't really cleaned them thoroughly lmao It was so gross, now I'm just waiting for them to dry out.
Same. I had to look up how to do this cause I want to replace the pads, mine are flaking.

@@sleepcrafters2926 filled up the bathroom sink with hot water and a bit of liquid laundry detergent, let them soak for a minute then kneaded then around to get the gunk out.

@@lex_C_88 Eeehhhh, no I wouldn't do that personally. Machine washing them would be way too rough and would probably end up damaging them, though I don't know for sure. I would just hand wash them myself just to be safe.

+ArtūrsM That literally makes no sense. The HD 598 is superior to the Clouds in every way including build quality and comfort. The open-back design of the HD 598 allow for a much more spaced out and realistic gaming experience assuming that the games you play have decent sound built-in. Completely uninformed comment.
Late but I have both, 598 are on another level even for gaming, it's so much better

A minute & a half of pointlessness showing how to change out the cords, than about a minute of semi-useful video...
The porn video music blaring through my other headphones was annoying.
The sheer quantity of tiny black flecks of vinyl "leatherette" covering from my old cushions on the 598 cs headphones was disgusting - now trying to figure out how to clean up the flaking mess from the top of the headband...
Not all HD 598 are build that way. Some are glued. Just sayin.

i got the same problem. the earpad is glued, and the replacement couldnt attach to the hd598. have you guys find a solution yet?
