I don't entirely agree with the Facebook remark. Some people are private and don't want their pictures plastered on social media. And, even if they put pictures of their partner on their FB it doesn't mean they're happy as it could just be a facade.
INTP female, I think it would be a bit of a red flag in combination with the other stuff. I get what you're saying though there are some folks who are more private on Facebook. (I LOVE your name by the way!)

My husband was caught messaging his ex by accident he said it was 4 months I think possibly longer . I know he would not have stopped if he wasn’t caught . I told him go live with her ,he won’t says he don’t love her but to me cheating is also messaging and sharing intimate life details with another woman who once cheated on you shows me your true character .I don’t trust him I don’t feel love right now for him I’m disgusted . I’m still in same place because I gave up my jobs for 5 years to care for his and her children who she abandoned .I need to get on my feet again but I have every intention on walking away but I refuse to be homeless due to his so called mistake he calls it . I could never trust him again .

Why is she even trying to reason with this? The man's trying to cheat. And the fact that she doesn't check his phone proves how naive she is and makes it even easier. What on Earth reason could you possibly need to contact an ex for? Unless you have children together, that is an absolute no. If she let's this continue, his infidelity is inevitable.
The heart is treacherous who can know it? Can a person put their hands in fiery coals and not get burned? Devoting your time to nurturing your mate and your relationship and giving it the time and attention necessary will lessen the time you have to reconnect with old flames.

I blocked my ex while his wedding prep going just because he wasn't leaving me alone and were doing maniuplation and love bombing in my dm even. We have ended things already at that time. I even asked him to be honest but he wasn't being honest so i blocked. After that just a week after he tied the knot he messaged me on other app. And now i am feeling sorry for that new woman.
I believe something here goes deeper than just talking to an ex girlfriend. If he is communicating regularly with her without a serious, valid reason, something's wrong. Maybe he is not in love with his wife anymore, so just making him stop talking with her won't solve the root issue. She needs to reconnect with her husband and make him fall madly in love with her the way they were when they got married. I'm not sure what that would entail, each couple is a different couple, but she needs to dig deeper than just complaining he's talking with his ex. She might get him to stop talking with her, but a couple of days after he may be chatting with a new woman or something like that. Forbidding people from talking to each other solves nothing. She has to get her man back to loving and adoring her and only she knows what it takes for that to happen.

@Hélia Alves this is beyond great advice. If you don't already provide counseling, you should probably look into it. Note however that your advice will be dismissed instantly by most females. This is because the female mentality is that nothing is ever their fault. This blocks them from looking critically at what they may be doing wrong. It is entirely possible that he may feel something missing which the wife is (most probably) unwilling to provide. Some women can be very stubborn and unwilling to listen to reason.

please dont let it ruin your marriage or make it think he doesnt love you, i recently did it but it doesnt mean i don't love my wife, the only reason was that it had been a very very long time, we were kids when we dated, when you look in the mirror and see yourself ageing and notice how quick life goes there is a few things someone may want to do before its over, and repairing things that hurt in the passed can help. i love my wife, what do i do? i don't want her to find out what i've done and think like you do. i really didn't see the harm in what i was doing at the time reaching out, to me it seemed like just something i had to do for closure.

Well I just hacked into my husband's messenger. He was texting his ex. He called her and they spoke for over 10 minutes. She lives in another country and they have a child together. The child is 14 and has his own fb page. There's no reason they should be talking at 2:30 am. She messaged me already and said he said he can't stand me. I'm starting to believe it😭😭😭

So rather than advising this woman to communicate to her husband that him interacting with his old high school girlfriend makes her uncomfortable, which would probably result in him ceasing communication with her , if he truly cares about his wife. Nicole Williams Sometimes women turn a blind eye to what is happening right in front of them. Doing some investigation work, something as simple as just looking at a public page, is the bare minimum of what she should do before she confronts her husband. Might turn out that the feeling goes away or that it might inflame due to what she sees. When she does confront him and he is stating contrary to what she has seen, she can ask clarification on that. That lunch date was actually a perfect way of determining what's going on from both sides. If nothing is going on, they've gained friends but if something is going on, it can be cleared up (or out). Trusting someone doesn't mean you should act dumb and uninformed.
