That’s the crazy thing about watching web video on Linux - the video drivers are so all over the place that neither Crome or Firefox allow hardware acceleration. So unless you get special builds of Chromium, you are eating up a crazy amount of power to watch Netflix & etc.
You do realise that is for INDUSTRY and not gaming? With the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier developer kit, you can easily create and deploy end-to-end AI robotics applications for manufacturing, delivery, retail, smart cities, and more. Also it costs over $600 so out of the price point of most people.

this is so awesome. I really do love this little computer. I bought it for my kids 😁. I have it setup in their room. they use it for typing tutor and other educational things. I've recently have set up retro pi. just having so much fun with this thing.

A rpi 4 rev 1.4 w/ 8Gb ram running stable (42 Celsius degrees under full load) at 2.147 Ghz with a Samsung T5 1Tb SSD as a dedicated boot drive which gives me 319 Mbps for reading/writting. I'm curious too. The pi3b+ and pi4 are a tad power hungry/hot. Using my pi2 for libreelec and it's been running 24/7 for about two years now, only needs the occasional reboot (and rebuild after updates interfere with custom configs).

Any read on whether or not this will work on Twister OS? It comes with the DRM enabled version of Chromium (hidden behind the Chrome Icon). I've been using it for about a week now and while it does play, I can only go about 20 minutes before the browser faults with an Oh Snap! message.

I've been waiting for something like this, now I can switch my old i3 laptop connected to a 24" 1080p monitor next to my bed and use my RPI4 4GB instead for watching in bed, I watch both streaming from Netflix and Prime, as well as media on my NAS.
Chrome browser and Firefox should do the same thing. I am quite certain that there is a 32bit Firefox I used recently on Knoppix, so it should even work on RasPi. However, Firefox needs as much RAM as you can give it for video, probably not less than 2Gig.
it starts the video.....for 10 seconds, and freezes. jacked up the video memory to 260, but the same. the 3B+ hardware specs are too low i think. for 32 bit you probably need above 2 GHz clock....1 gig RAM is also not gonna cut it, i would think....

i really want to make a badass htpc inside an old xbox but i need a way to launch android tv easily from a decent front end... super simple for people that use it other then me and i kinda want an NVIDIA shield experience but i am going to go with a pc so i can run some more powerful emulators. i loved using my modded og xbox for my entertainment back in the day. it will give me an excuse to hang out with the family more often. gonna do it in a halo og xbox
Why not but an Android box VS Raspberry Pi for a media box? Android boxes are comparable in price. Comparably powerful. Require no building. Have most other software already installed etc. I don't get it? Or building a r Pi for emulation for that matter. Android boxes are just as good at emulation and have emulation front ends better than emulation station and easier and faster to set up.

it works pretty good actually with LAN/ethernet! i had a good wifi connection though (through which it frooze)
