The fact that you had a lot of drinks and your able to speak formally and nicely informing where you are and the experience comes to show you are in control of yourself and your channel for the audience.
With that amount of drinks I would be slurring my speech like a NINA and someone would be carrying me home and I would be talking about pandas on the way home.

Hey Chris, love watching your videos. One suggestion I have from watching several of your videos. Why not utilize the Google Translate app on your phone when trying to translate with people from various parts of the country that do not speak English. I saw on this video, when talking to the gentleman at the T-Shirt shop that there was a language barrier. I think Google Translate or any other app that will translate English to another language or wise versa would be helpful.

I celebrated my 21st Birthday at the FullMoon Party back in 2004. They didn't charge to enter the party back then, it was awesome. Back in the day there was more girls then guys. The last time I went in 2014 there was twice as many dudes.

Sadly these Full Moon parties are just a massive money making scheme for the locals these days. Whether it be hiked up prices for transport, accommodation or whatever. Definitely not the same when I went there first in 2004! Anyway, a great video Chris and thanks for sharing!

"There's something for everyone", this is what I'm wondering if it's worth to check out the full moon party, or are some other parties on the island more suitable? I'm going to visit Phangan the first time in my mid 30s as solo traveler, and wonder if I would feel like I'm way too old there.

I should have written more clearly that are there parties that have higher percentage of people who are 25+ or in their 30s?
It seems that there are so many kids in their late teens or early twenties. Nothing wrong with that, but it gets boring quite fast. I guess I you need to try to find a decent group in pre-parties.

I get what you mean, but the Full Moon Party is filled of people with all ages. You will be fine in your late 20s and 30s, MANY beautiful Thai women are older than 30 anyways - and this is coming from someone that is 26.
Walking around you will notice that there is no "age group" there, everyone of all ages is walking around, partying, and doing the same stuff.
Thailand is different. Age doesn't matter as much as you think it does.
@@knowledge4741 I've gotten the impression that in the Full Moon Party there are people of all ages, but in the videos it's mostly been younger crowd. I've also gotten the impression that it isn't the best place to meet locals. Well, have to see if the party happens to be at the same time I'm on the island.
I agree that age doesn't matter in Thailand the same way at all. I used to date a Thai woman for 5 years, and have spent over 3 years there.
