I want to love them, the undyed part is awesome, really like the grip. So far 4 days in and there are a few things bugging me. 1. The thin laces don’t really stay tight for extended periods, 2. They seem a bit narrow in the middle of the foot like my arch isn’t on the shoe, that area has some minor discomfort. 3 there’s a seam by the ankle bone that rubs when the boot gets loose. I’ve been wearing the Lowa Zephyr for the past 6 years and I’m not sure I’m 100% sold on these taking over as my main hiking boot. Hoping they break in and all these issues work out.

Hope they work out for you! I use a surgeon's knot and they don't typically loosen up on me.

@@AhilMohan I tried to like them, but went back to the Lowa Zephyr.

They claim to have improved the sole compound in the new version (v2). I had the same problem with ON hiking shoes as you and went back to Scarpa. The grip was so-so on the wet, which was a shame because the comfort was brilliant and they were actually quite durable. At the price, they would need to be perfect and those soles are a big problem for those who hike in wet climates.
