I have Seen JD Sumner many times the ONLY man to ever stop an entire set of stage speakers dead and literally go so low they couldn't even handle his bass
The Guiness World Record for the lowest note sung by a human is held by a man named Tim Storms. They recorded him singing a note that is 8 Hz ... so low the human ear can't hear it, but it still registered it. He also holds the record for having a 10 octave vocal range. Check him out. 😁👍
@@davidmay5993 Yes, I know who Tim Storms is. For me like Bing Crosby is the BEST VOICE CROONER EVER, Louis Armstrong is the BEST TRUMPETER EVER, J.D.Sumner is the BEST BASS EVER!

Sorry to say but he get from Eb2 slide down to Eb1 and take a D1 not clear, blurring. Eb1 is clear and he had done lower notes as you know when he get older. If you whant to listen to Eb1 from me. Try, basso profundo ruben
@@Mr.Vilnag I’d be surprised if JD even has chest down to G1 and giving him G is pushing it. Turner uses subharmonics and it sounds better than JD any day but over both of them full chest sounds better no matter what.
@@Vilnag nobody on this planet can go that low in chest and probably never will in chest. The absolute closest would be people like Glenn Miller or Zlat who are both oktavists.
I had the pleasure of seeing him in concert and his voice rattled my wheelchair😁
that would have been awesome!
The ease he had with that Eb1. 😅😅😅

The insane volume he has high or low is amazing!
Wow, love their singing and their gospel message!
Thank you so much for this! I love seeing the earlier years of JD and it's on the Buck Owen's show!
J.D. Sumner was in the Guinness World Book of Records listed as the WORLD'S LOWEST BASS SINGER!!!!!

Ol' JD would have to suck a balloon filled with helium just to sound like we do lol. What a voice!!!
Tony "Tarzan" Brown on piano.
I wonder what note he hit in the end. Sounds like a thunder singing
On the walk...walk...walk thing he hits a C#1 at the lowest
@LagonMonis2628 dang that's impressive.
J.D hit Eb1 but good enough
@@rubenivarsson5169 he holds the note on a Eb1 but just after he hits two C#1, you can even see him almost laughing

1968?
Ken turner clearer and better any day
At least JD's natural. Don't be disrespecting JD like that when he isn't here to defend himself.
@@Mr.Vilnagtotally agree turner not in the same class as a sumner even sleeping

JD's lowest chest is G0.
