Time is running out for negotiators trying to break the impasse between the United States and Iran and revive the deal curbing Tehran’s nuclear ambitions. Iran is still enriching uranium, the Biden administration is talking of giving up on the current diplomatic track. If a nuclear deal can’t be done how real is the danger of a catastrophic war in the Middle East?

Steven was speechless from Prof. Marandi's replies, he was almost going to agree with Prof. & admit the west is going to miss their opportunity too.
The Western countries think that they are still living in 50ies era. The world has evolved but not them. Countries & people are highly intelligent & educated. The West needs to wake up to this reality & accept there is no other alternative & those days of slavery, coup & regime change has long gone.
In a nutshell, US & EUROPEAN plus handful of other countries in Persian gulf & Israel wants a weak Iran. They don't realise that the more sanctions they put on Iran, the harder it becomes for them. Furthermore, they're not serious about negotiating a peaceful deal, they want to bring Iran to it's knees & then do similar thing like what happened in Lybia, Syria etc & regime change.

Exactly, I reckon they were trying to do what the did to Soviet Union after the Iran deal, but Iran didn't allow it, and now they're pissed off hence they pulled out in the most disgraceful way. And let me tell you something, Europe and US are in it together, yet some European countries like UK pretend they are different!
I appreciate Stephen as an interviewer but he had a horribly biased script and he was sorely outmatched by a superior intellect with the facts on Marandi's side.

The interview with Dr. Marandi was very interesting and his answers were very logical. Anytime the BBC interviewer didn't have any answer, he changed the subject to something else and didn't let Prof. Marandi to finish his comments....

Iran survived 40yrs under US sanctions, and looking East Iran will thrive under US maximum pressure. Even the US Arab allies in middle east are now also looking East. Iran has all the leverage in this nuclear deal, and Americans know that they don't have much to offer.
