I LOVE going to the Asin Market. I see a lot of items that I grew up eating in the Caribbean. I also see a lot of items that I have never seen before. I am actually working on a banana blossom video. So excited to see the store. I love the crunchy texture and mild flavor of black fungus. Thanks for taking us along. Sandee

I have to agree, that’s a ginormous Asian store! We don’t have that here, they even have a fresh fish and seafood section!
The salted eggs are personal favorite, we put these in insalata or eat it as it is with tomatoes!
I’m glad you enjoyed shopping, i saw some Snacks we call it “ chichirya” from the Philippines!

I'm of Japanese heritage with both parents born in Hawaii. I used to enjoy the selections of Asian foods. I must admit that I'm so curious to eat durian fruit. My aunt said it smelled like heaven and tasted like heaven. I'm glad I still have access to a slew of international markets in Los Angeles. So fun to see what's available and to maybe try a thing or two. I like dried squid too! Fun trip. Stay healthy and safe. Thank you for posting!

The first jackfruit I saw in my life was just last week at one of our local grocery stores. Very odd hard texture on the outside. I love pokey sticks. We haven’t had them in a while either. Lots of cool things in the Asian store. I like fish but I’m not quite sure I’d want one‘s fresh is that. Maybe I would have to acquire a taste for that. Great video and glad you showed us all around!

Jackfruit, only frozen and tinned. The tinned ones were gross. Tasted and smelled like latex paint. But the frozen ones were nice. No ,markets like that here but back where I lived we had a few. One was a private owned very, very small one. Soooo nice. Soooo nice. Happy Weekend and boogie boogie. Cheers, Ivy.

Love the Asian market. We go to Atlanta around quarterly to stock up on Korean food. They have some other things from other countries too but it's mostly Korean. We always get pockis to send to the adult kids along with other items, it depends. They were with us in Korea for 3 years so they have favorites. Check out Hispanic grocery stores for seasonings for cheap too. That's where we get dried chilies and other spices. Lol we have a crazy culinary history in this house
