Thank you for being the only reaction to bring up Nick Pitera. Just baffles me that people hearing this don't automatically recall one person do both voices for A Whole New World. It was definitely amazing for its time, but Marcelito Pomoy definitely raised the bar. This one is just so much more special because of the voice types, the styles, the language and the fact that Pomoy's falsetto is on a totally other level.
Marcelito Castro Pomoy IS THE REAL DEAL. I had the great privilege of meeting and watching him in concert in June in Toronto. Watching him live was like an out of body experience. The videos DO NOT do his voice any justice. I may be his biggest fan in Canada. Proud to be Filipino. Cheers from Toronto.

This was THE PERFECT reaction to this video! You were suitably shocked at his Femme voice at the beginning and then had to cover your mouth to keep from screaming when he switched to his Tenor. The best part was that you kept quiet throughout the song so you got to hear the entire thing, not missing even one instant of that beautiful rendition. He's great, isn't he? Well, so are you! :)

Marcelito's story is nearly as amazing as his voice. His mother rejected him at birth and custody was given to his father (they had seperated), unfortunately his father was serving a lengthy prison sentence, so little baby Marcelito spent the first 2 years of his life in prison with his father. He was then adopted by a prison guard, but it was not a happy childhood and at 9 years old he discovered they were not his real parents and he ran away. He survived by selling food snacks on the city streets. He says he learnt to sing with two voices (not uncommon in the Philipinnes) as a way to combat the loneliness. He earnt extra by singing in bars and cafe's. He met a girl, fell in love and they married. They now have a child of their own, and he has been reconciled to his birth father. He entered Philipinnes Got Talent last year 2016, and of course won it hands down. He has turned his life around and I am so happy for him. I would like to suggest a couple of others for you to react to but will do that another time.

I'm a singer/songwriter myself and I record songs on SMULE, but WOW...... Marcelito's got real singing talent. I can't remember when I felt speechless the last time I watched a music video regardless if it was live or in a studio. I cried so much......
