      Hi John, thanks for the comment. I only use Mastad-Kirby Sea hooks (Ringed Tinned, Norway Made) for reef fishing. I hav'nt brought any for a couple of years, not sure if I can purshace them these days. They have a different hook size measuring system, when fishing shallow reefs, I think the eqivelent size is 6/0 or 7/0, for bigger reds the eqiuvelent would be 9/0 or 10/0. Great hooks, strong - won't straighten out and usually easy to swist out of the fishes mouth. Cheers mate.

    Great content but I would like to see more drone footage. Christian asked why Viv got to drive the boat again and i would like to see a close up of the knots.

      Thanks for your comments Joey. Christian got to be on the boat to be able to drive, the big cry baby 👶. I'll do a close up of the knots on the next reef trip.

      Oh forgot, my drone is in for repairs at the moment. Great footage with a drone, if you do'nt crash it.

    May I ask where did you go out from. Must have been a enjoyable trip. Do you spike & bleed the fish or these ones it make difference to.

    • @rosyjoneslocker
      @rosyjoneslocker  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, most times I depart from Rosslyn Bay Boat Harbour, Yeppoon, in Queensland Australia. When fishing offshore I bleed all the fish we catch and place the fish into a saltwater ice slurry. When convenient I will pack the fish upright (belly down) in layers in another esky and cover each layer with ice only. I’m also an advocate of spiking fish but am concerned that the inexperienced crews I generally have aboard may stick themselves when the fish moves about. So, for this reason I avoid spiking fish.

    • @lindsayfraser4791
      @lindsayfraser4791 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I certainly get the spiking themselves. I am new to the Hervey Bay area and the new boat arrives soon. Your videos are great to watch & informative. Many thanks.
