Don’t listen to him👆 this is a podcast clip on TH-cam. 2 different ways of taking in content, I’ve listened to all the podcasts on my podcast app on iPhone several different times each and they never get boring! I’m waiting on new episodes!
Yea not a fan of this style of Pixel Plus Podcast. I rather hear the guys talking about their personal experiences than hear them listening to a boring instagram video
Sry for the dumb question but is there no pixel podcast full episodes anymore...cuz there has been no 2h episodes on for 3 month...just the cut up versions...i use to like the 2h format and just have it on my 2nd monitor while i played a MMORPG's...
I used to work in self storage. Police never care when this happens and never once came back to investigate, they come make a report, go to the manager and employees and shrug their shoulders and leave. Self storage isnt required to record anything and most if not all the cameras are just live feeds, so there is no tape to review afterwards (always ask if they are recording or just monitoring, and how long do they keep the recordings for. if not recording dont even rent from them imo). That of course depends on the facility. It looks like they went in from that unit with all the wooden furniture behind it, but how did they get into that unit? You cant just climb around on top of all the units, everything is put together with wire sheet metal and screws. There is hardly any structure to these things. Basically nobody was climbing around until they found the good stuff. My best guess would be the person who owned the unit with the wooden furniture, or a friend/relative who had access to their bin (which is usually the case) is the culprit. My second guess which ive also seen happen is the unit (the one with the furniture) is delinquent on the storage bill and is going into auction, which means the lock was broken and replaced with a store lock, and a small metal tag, which can easily be popped on and off. Of which the employee went in, hopped over took some stuff from this guy and locked it back up. The storage place doesn't care, thats why they sell insurance. Ive never not seen the insurance companies not pay out for this though, unless someone claims something super expensive was stolen. Self storage is completely on the person using it to secure it, dont expect anything from the company running it, including security. You arent going to get it. it shouldnt be that way but it is. I realize its not always an option but never put anything valuable in a storage bin, keep it at a friends house, only furniture and crappy odds and ends if it matters anything to you. and everything they said in the video was true, if there isnt a pipe with sprinkler going thru the wall of the unit they have to keep them open on top for fire code reasons, and they have to be open on top for climate control reasons as well, you wont find a climate controlled room with a roof. another tid bit of advice, those pipes are always leaking somewhere, always keep your stuff raised off the ground somehow. I would even put a tarp over everything incase that leaky pipe is in your storage room, because they dont care about that either and will just point u to insurance and not even say sorry.
Not saying it's fake, but something seems weird. Dude gets robbed multiple times in only a few months from multiple areas, and then goes and narrates it in his phony TH-cam voice. They stole all of his expensive camera gear but didn't take the case to protect their new stolen investment? Dude has videos of what his storage unit looks like from above the steel cage ceiling from before he got robbed. It all seems strangely suspicious...
I am a Fire sprinkler system designer and I have designed systems like that in Texas. It is very common way to meet fire code. There are other more expensive ways to design the systems but this is the most common and efficient.
As someone who just got a storage locker a few months ago, his mistake was storing things that have sentimental value or are hard to replace. I specifically only put stuff in a unit that wouldn’t upset me if it burned in a fire. The truth is nothing is guaranteed and you’re far more likely to notice someone breaking into your house where you sleep than a place you only occasionally visit.
When are you guys going to upload the full podcast, I don't watch the clips because I wait until the whole thing comes up, also it would be smarter to upload the whole podcast first so if people that watch the clips are interested to hear more, you can promote the full length one in the video and would get newer people to listen to the whole thing.
If you're gonna play another video, let us listen to it. Hearing 3 voices at once just gives people a headache. As Robert Downey Jr says in Tropic Thunder, you never go full reta....
Last year my storage unit was broken into, the facility didn't tell us til after it changed hands to new ownership and they screwed us out of insurance. While we didn't have hardly anything SUPER expensive I had a very big nascar collection and some of my childhood favorite games and consoles along with sports cards and Pokemon cards it sucked losing all of it but I can't do anything but move on and try to recollect all of it. Years ago a shop owner gave me pretty wise advise "the nice thing about collecting is that you always have to opportunity to collect it again" and if I've learned anything from Riff and Ricky is that the adventure of finding things in the wild is half the fun of collecting
I’ve listened to all your podcasts on my iPhone app and love them! currently waiting on new ones! Keep em coming! I’m here showing my love for you guys and the squad 💪🏻Let’s go!
wow that tugged my heart strings my first game system was a gameboy my grandpa got me and my dad sold it when i was 17 and i'll never get it back but one day i'll get one in box to reprecent it
It's getting out of hand because they don't get any punishment or treated as a "high" priority crime in these liberal cities. Gov. Abbott should do something about it...
"The state of Austin right now" Jesus wept. These tech bro types aren't ever happy. This guy is a fucking baby. He could have gotten insurance for all that stuff in his storage facility. I used to work in tech selling software to storage facilities - this dude cheaped out. This is on him.
I love you guys, but I hate to break it to you, nobody is moving back to California. Austin TX is a liberal cesspool, in fact we refer to it as the california of TX. Love the show!
Content thiefing just like the clowns on ig and utube who take someone elses video and content and do a lame reaction to it jist to get views and likes in.
Get to the point bro Too invested can’t stop watching though so maybe he’s doing something right…. Fuck go to the end. This guy owe Curtie money. Where’s the pay off on this. Does someone need to get Dog involved haha. Sorry about the assault in your store, that’s fucked up
Guys video went a little too long, started to get bored, in my opinion.
Cry about worthless shit much ?
😢

Is your son running the pixelgamesquad account? Lol

It's a real shame something as important as that Gameboy is to him that he didn't have space to keep it where he lives rather than a storage locker.
He was moving, so he put stuff in storage for a short time during the move

metal wire as a ceiling is crazy..
Some times pawn shops have to wait a certain amount of time before actually putting stuff out for sale, in case something is reported as stolen
I think it is so weird that you guys made this video. I literally just saw all 3 of that guy's videos this morning. lol

yeah if the roof is wire I'm not storing anything there, the second storge site was so much better

Why store things you don’t care rather you have it or not. Seems like a waste of money and time to hold on to things like that.

Scariest part of retail is thieves and them fighting people to steal

I would only be friends with Ricky.
odd that he had a "before" clip what what it looked like above, was that filmed in the past?

Wired ceiling is that normal??? What a sorry unit.
Ricky stole my heart.

weird hearing Californians not want their former residents back.
Austin is a very liberal part of Texas . This isn’t surprising
Was gonna say the same thing. Theft is a minor crime in crazy cities like Austin
I think there might be another reason crime is so much higher in dense populated places
Yeah, conservative cities have none or no problems whatsoever😏😏
@@kurdt_patrickname a “Conservative city” with Republicans top to bottom… There are none… but, there are plenty with Democrats top to bottom
@ not like the liberal ran ones . Trust me , I live in a very conservative area
Dude looking like Retro Nick, Rick's brother... lol

Keep up the good work 🎉🎉🎉
Riff is not funny. “That’s the first thing I thought”
Of course crime is high in a blue city in a red state.
