Excited to see your log cabin build ❗ Interesting to watch you tackle these logs, so much better in the snow than in mud when the 'thaw' comes.... Pulling all those logs up to your build site will keep you warm! ❗ Very cool that you are harvesting birch water. Martijn Doolaard did that, too, in the Italian Alps. Small amount , but he drank the water ever day for a while. Carry On 1 Woman‼💛💚
I love your videos; can you number the builds in chronological order. Is this a new build, if so why are you building so many houses, without showing the completion of prior builds❓❓❓
Hi. This is going to be the 4th. I cut the logs to build this house but when they were green and no snow I got tired trying to wench them up the hill so I let them dry. I built this one in Fairbanks, #3 because my son lives here and I had a job here. I plan to rent them out as Glamping houses, with wildlife and green wilderness all around.
That was interesting. Thanks for sharing! Using a winch to pull logs up hill, wow! Also, what does birch water taste like? I tap maple trees and boil it down for syrup.
I always recommend people build a a tobbagan as its flat n low to the ground just need to soak the boards in water for the bend there are instructions on you tube how to make them good for moving or hauling logs n keeping them cleaner or fire wood st need to wax them occasionally to slide better or easier. can be used year round actually.
This is a new house I’ll build. I have these logs from my land and need to do something with it anyway. I’m part beaver. When I grew up in the woods we ate lots of beaver meat and so we said we were beaver clan. Koyukon Athabaskan from Huslia I am.
Somebody had a design for building a "out door hippy hot tub" out of an IBC container heated with a wood stove can sure be nice especially in the winter a little creature comfort when your living in the boon docks. Actually you have a possible wood storage shed under your house on the low side of your house.
I built a wood shed away from my house. I try to keep the flammable wood out from under the house and have been trying to not pile things there due to fire hazard.
That's a lot of work for 1 woman. 😅 My dad gave me his cut locust trees to hand saw and split into fence posts. I had over 200 posts that I had to carry or drag down the hill, over the creek and up a bank after an accident that I had. Lot's of hard work but I did it by myself but I was younger then. 😅 It's good to see you again ! I can't wait to see your new building project. Thanks for taking the time to make a video and let us know what you're up to. Haha 😅does it ever warm up up there? 😅 Lot's of snow 😉 I guess you don't need a refrigerator. Enjoy your spring and summer. 🙏
@@joankline343 yes! It was a lot of logs. I still haven’t built anything yet. I was too busy with work and also my other houses. I’ll get it started off the ground by snow fall.
If anyone has an update on La 'Ona please post it here. The last posting of a few months ago, she said she had multiple bee stings and she has not posted since. Anaphylactic shock can be deadly. Hope she is well. PRAYERS.

Thank you. I’ve been MIA but I’m back. I miss that birch water. I only did it in the spring.

Thank you. It taste like a light taste of willow or birch, almost sweet but mostly I’d say it taste like water.
I can't hardly wait to see your new build. Take care!
Thank you! I need to build this! I’m working on finishing other houses first though.

Oh nice. Yeah I have so many plastic ones and one with the back cut out to toe it to the front of logs.
Love you're videos
Thank you.
I'm kinda confused... Is this an older video, or are you building another (3rd, 4th?) place?
