Look, I also have one, it is the Mexican edition and the mouth does not work and the dance also works but mine stops from time to time and it is because of the motor and most likely the belt of your Santa Claus dance is broken or the engine may not work i hope and i can help you as i just finished helping someone fix one and at last it works properly

My flat base Santa dances the same way, should I change the adapter & use a 6vl instead of the 9vl it came with?
I would only use the one it came with or one with the recommended voltage it can hurt the electronics if you don’t have the right adapter
