Eddie's close control and ball manipulation are such interesting developments in his game, testament to his hard work and the coaching staff's brilliance.
He has improved.
Now, he can do the bare minimum, to at least keep possession.
I don’t expect he can be as silky as those Spanish players or as skillful as those Brazilian players.
I don’t expect him to have insane close control in tight areas, doing tricks/skill moves, dropping deep constantly creating for the team in possession, playing tiki taka passes, playing through passes like a #10...I don’t expect these. So I’m glad that now, at least he can keep possession.

Massive props to Nketiah. Top mentality not letting his lack of minutes discourage him. He knew his opportunity would come, was patient, put in work, and is now taking his chance with both hands. If Gabriel was fit for our next game he wouldn't start straight away the way Nketiah is playing.

For me Eddie is our most improved player under Arteta this season directly behind or level with Xhaka. I think a lot of fans wrote Eddie off (myself included) but he has been phenomenal this season, waited patiently for his chance and is definitely grabbing it with both hands!
