I have been doing this drill to work on my pressure shift for about 3 weeks now and my swing has much better rhythm now. The other thing I am aware of is the sacrum moving towards the target on the backswing and away from the target on the downswing.
Absolutely great video. Thank you Adam. I have never heard or seen such a good explanation where the preausre should go for the last 35 years. The explanation of the 4 quadrants is simple and helps a lot. Also the foot elevation test from todd is very helpful. The last video about the hipbump was also extremely helpful. I had tried it for a long time, but with this video it gets cristal clear. If I may make some wishes: 1.) Please make a video about Takeaway to setup, that explains the wrist-hinge and wrist-cock better. I am starting now with the gadget prosenr from jean Foley and get good results 2.) Please make another Masterclass-Shortgame-Video-Course (Putting,Chipping, Pitching, Bunker) like your exellent Masterclass-Fullswing course 3.) Please come to europe an give us the possibility to get in person lessons with you. E.g. 1 week trainingscamps in winter Thank you very much for your exelent videos. I wish I would have had theese oportunities as a young starting golfer…
...I think it might be useful to bring in some actual pressure readings from better players, just as a reference point. I understand that feels and practice are not going to match swinging at speed exactly, but the pressure data can be illuminating.
Quick point- in backswing you want to engage quad and glute of right foot and as the weight moves from the fronto all of the right foot to the heel of the right foot , the weight moves along the inside edge of the right foot. In the downswing from the top to the delivery position the weight moves onto the front part of lead and from there ( delivery position) the weight moves to the heel of the lead foot but tracks the OUTSIDE EDGE of the lead foot unlike in the backswing where the weight movement tracks the INSIDE EDGE of the trail foot. Is that correct?
Huge follower and fan but a bit perplexed. Does data not show that tour pros are shifting pressure forward midway through backswing? In this video the lesson is pressure goes to rear heel at top of backswing? Those two directives are mutually exclusive?
I find when I move in transition to zone 3 if my weight is in the ball of foot and toes i get stuck and end up not getting to my heel and i push off like Lexi which i don't like and it hurts my knee sometimes. If I put my weight to the top of my laces or middle of the foot in zone 3 I can get to my heel in the finish zone 4..it also helps me get separation. Is this a mistake?
Considering your upper body is what’s putting pressure into your lower body and not the lower body doing it itself, you’re most likely hanging back or not turning your lead pocket(hip) back enough which gets the upper body more on top of the lead side through and post impact.
This dude is on his way to being the #1 instructor in America.
Fact…
That's exactly right.
Have to agree!
He’s #1 in my book haha
Adam's passion is intoxicating! Love that guy.
After grip, this would be the first video I would tell a new golfer to watch. This video will cure what ails you!!!
Love these videos with Todd. 2 explanations same result.
Cheers from Scottsdale
I saw a Pro in England named Russell Heritage explain the four quadrant system a few years ago. It really helped
Love this guys instruction, just so clear and knowledgeable

Man I needed this, I got the hip bump but hadn't quite got this!
Single figures here I come.
Thank You.
Grateful Aussie.
Huge fan of your channel. Do you have a video showing how to walk up to the ball and get set up?
Well explained and demonstrated! Thank you so much!

I believe you will get the correct feeling of movement if you pretend to throw a ball sidearm - which comes naturally to most people.

Hi, how do you start the downswing without coming over the top? My upper body tends to go first due to no weight transfer in lower body. Thanks
This fixed my OTT move as well. I went 1-2-4 and it just spun out.
Nice!😊

how do you transfer the weight from quadrant 2 to quadrant 3? i always seem to get weight stuck at 2

I still don’t get how you’re getting weight forward. I keep falling back. On downswing I fall back I have no momentum going forward.
👍
opposite move of 15 time Major winner Jack Nicklaus , and Palmer. Horrible lesson.
Niclaus and Palmer can't compete these days with those outdated swings even if they were in their 20's
