When you look at the character on-screen Chris Messina’s performance is incredible. He went from what appeared to be an oafish momma’s boy to a gifted and insightful and gifted businessman dedicated to Atlantis Cable News. It may have been painful but he produced.

The Newsroom had such exceptional dialogue and characters. There were times I hated Reese which is a testament to how wonderfully Messina played the character. Very on point. Great dynamics and tension.

For what it’s worth The Newsroom was one of my favorite shows ever and I thought he was excellent in his role. His character really evolved from greed in the beginning to pride in the network in the end
