What a time to be alive! I’m a young 20 year old man I thank the Lord for calling me out of darkness two years ago and into His family. His people truly are the excellent ones. And they have blessed me and strengthened me in my masculinity. Now he’s renewing my mind and restoring me day by day, and this song is an anthem and a blessing from the Lord!
Forward and Never Look back God has very special souls incarnate on planet Earth at this time we have very very important purposes with humanity to help humanity to help God so that we can go evolve on the on the right timeline there's about to be there it's already been at the spiritual words that you know against darkness it's about to be a time when we need to fulfill his purpose we need to stand strong and who we are and I am a light worker and I bring the light I'm one of the chosen ones and I need my protectors and I need directions they've been tripping me up all my life but they are not going to stop me I'm going to help you and complete my purpose you do the same God bless you praise his name we shall have the victory!!
Today I called my wife “the crown on my head.” I love new ways to tell her what a treasure she is to me. This is the real banger on this album. I’ve already shared with all my brothers in faith. Good work Mr. Sauvé!
Phenomenal work once again. Praise the Lord for artists who have eyes to see the world the way it is, and especially for men with wisdom and backbone to say what they see
Makes me picture a father looking a son in his eyes and assuring him he has what it takes to do anything . Imagine the intestinal fortitude that would give a young man. This is what fathers are for!
My best friend sent me the link to this song while I was elk hunting up in the Wind River mountains of Wyoming. The first verse was perfect! What a song, so encouraging. I'm going to sing this to my sons someday.
"I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one." --1 John 2:14b Earlier this summer I was talking with an older pastor who I deeply respect. We had a great conversation and towards the end I confided in him that I feel overwhelmed with leading at church and in my home--especially with no father and no father-in-law to emulate. I was being honest and open. He only replied: That's why God made you strong. It isn't what I wanted to hear. But it is what I needed to hear at age 40. I think a lot of young men, at the right time and from an older man, need to hear similar. He isn't a mentor or someone I know well. Yet in that moment I felt fathered. I experienced the same when hearing this song for the first time. Thank you, Brian, for writing this.
My husband sent this to me and I cried. We have a crazy, sweet, silly 3 year old son and this song just hits so hard and close to my heart. Raise them to be godly gentlemen.
@@Brian_Sauve I have a 3 month old girl, so your Daphne's Song also slaps pretty hard. Keen to know -- do you produce all your own stuff say from home? The quality is something to behold.
This was the encouragement I needed after reading the comments under Doug Wilson’s latest Blog & Mablog video (Guilty vs. Responsible). It may be the encouragement some of those men need as well.
God in his providence definitely sent this to me today, and it's been edifying me all morning as I work. Ive been enjoying all your music so far, but this one is calling me to magnanimity! There's dragons out there waiting to be cut down, LET'S GO!!!!!!
I have literally had this song on repeat for 2 weeks. Very rarely can I listen to a song like that. It has blessed me each time with an invitation of peace and hope. My 3 yr old also likes to sing along too - bonus. Beautiful work.
I wish I had a greater capacity to love this anthem more than I already do, brother. It is absolutely rich and dripping with biblical truth and wisdom; setting steel to the spine and spurring glorious God driven purpose. God bless you, Brian, for inspiring a new generation of fathers and sons to further Christs kingdom. Be well, dear brother.
Amazing, inspiring, and a true blessing to the Church, yet again! It is easy to see the work of family and parenting as humdrum. It is, after all, what helped birth feminism. But that's a result of a loss of the vision of what God intends the family to be. Folks like Brian and those amazing folks at Canon Press are really capturing the truth of the family and God's intention in some wonderful song and story! Thank you all!
Pardon my terminology here...but you're telling me Christian music can be Christian and totally sick? Dude this is nice. 10/10 if I lived in Utah I'd totally try and go black bear hunting with Bryan! Where had music like this been all my life?
@@Brian_Sauve That's awesome, you're welcome. You've picked up where he left behind biblical certainty, and with it true hope and courage and faithfulness.
@@Brian_Sauve I know, it's hard to listen to his old records, remembering how much hope and meaning were in them because of Jesus and the gospel, and their new stuff just sounds so mediocre and uninspired with nothing important to say.
@@Brian_Sauve Sad indeed. I've been praying for him for a few years; he used to be one of my all time favorites. Great to see you writing wonderful music and words. I've been blessed by your album and your blog recently. Keep the faith!
Great song Brian! Just discovered you. Curious if “go get the girl” is referencing both our earthly brides as well as the bride of Christ-the church? There’s dragons to fight, go get the girl, Christs bride!
@@principalholder I’m thinking regardless of Brian’s intention, God’s prompting us to make His kingdom our priority and “go get the girl” he’s purchased.
For sure. I agree with you. The debate is about Brian's intent and interpreting his lyrics accurately. Did Brian intend the girl in the song to be a girl/wife or the bride of Christ?
(Note: I don't know the references which could determine the outcome of this debate.) I would like to insert a slightly different view that this has a double meaning. Meaning 1: God is talking to Jesus, and the girl is His bride, the church. Meaning 2: a father is talking to his sons and telling them to pursue the kingdom of God and the church.

Same. Just found this song and already in love with it.
Hearing "take courage now, son" struck a chord deep within my soul. God bless you brother, thank you.

🔥 This is a winner. Some Tolkien and Lewis references… cut down leviathan could definitely be made into a t-shirt
"Further up further in."
Excellent! Let's go boys, there are dragons out there!
A few manly tears while listening to this.
The gentle but strong exhortations in this song are beautiful!
Here after hearing your song on the Abolitionist Rising Medieval Fair video. Very cool, song, and will be sharing with friends.

Hearing my dad say "I'm proud of you" when I was 20... I could have conquered the world
My 3 year old son loves this song, dances around the house with his 1 year old sister and it’s precious.
Mom of boys here- couldn't love this more

Do you have a paypal account?
Yep! Here: paypal.me/bsauve25
