Awsome job 👏👌👍! Mark Farner has been one of my neighbors for the last 30yrs or so. I think he would love your cover! Mark is truly a kind and gentle family man. I do not give my admiration or comments lightly and I admire Mark greatly. You guys keep on rocking! And love to you 😊✌
Please tell mark that when the so-called Grand Funk band came to the Del Lago Resort in New York this year I refuse to go and see them even though I always loved Grand Funk. The reason was that without Mark Farner in my mind there is no Grand Funk
Because the rock n roll hall of shame is run by the people at Rolling Stone magazine and they had big time quarrels with Grand Funk and Terry Knight way back on issues like denying interviews, covering photos when they played Shea stadium etc. etc. So they have literally lost their rights to enter as a band. Not sure but I think Mark Farners original guitar is is on display.
@@summergivens242 Thanks for letting me know, but it makes it even more painful knowing that the squabbles had nothing to do with the musical genius of the original trio - MARK, DON and MEL, and later CRAIG. who joined as a keyboardist. I could not do road trip without GRAND FUNK RAILROAD in my car.
@@noelvanniekerk6168 Yeah it's sad because some artists are in it that you would never think would be in it. I mean, Madonna was in it before Jeff Beck made it ? Come on !
What an iconic, if not spiritual, moment. I reflect on how I felt hearing this ripper in 1970 at age 13. It is patently obvious I’ve gone around the block to full circle, and at age 66 I still feel it. Y’all GET it. And little Sister with the soaring and diving vocals!! Wow; IMHO she should be singing more of the song. Passionate and powerful she is. And five stars to the guitar work!! OMG you guys ROCK. GFR strangely (or not) saved my sanity whilst in an extremely repressive environment.
Whole band is stellar ! Saw GFR live in '74 and YOU gave me goosebumps again. Am so happy to see new musicians appreciate Mark, Don & Mel. We will watch for more - keep funkin.
First song l taught myself to play on guitar was im your captain, second one was inside looking out,it all took off after that, 65 and I'm still listening and playing along, still one of my favorite rock bands
Rock On youngbloods!! Love GFR!!! Howz bout Stone Cold Fever on Humble Pie's - Performance Rockin' the Fillmore album. One of THE ALL TIME BEST live albums everrr. Steve Marriott & Peter Frampton at their peak. Check it out!
There can be no valid criticism. Thank you for keeping rock and roll alive. Love her passion and everyone's musicianship. Can I recommend some Jethro Tull?
Total cool but could use a new sound man. I could feel her wonderful vibrations from my desktop. looking forward more grand funk from you guys, there never got the true credit they deserved. I almost had flash backss
@@creaturesofcontent3664 Of course. I just was texting, On air radio show prep. You guys, rock. Nice to see, I woman sign this version, too. Her voice is perfect with your band.

These kids did a nice job too! 😊
Good to see the younger generation picking up on the great music of grand funk railroad, awesome
Wow!!! Cover versions like this makes me wonder why GRAND FUNK RAILROAD were never inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame. Timeless music!!!!!

Because of this group who added a girl they make loko-loko the song inside and out. What a walang kwentang pagkopya ng kanta.
WELL DONE !!! It's wonderful to see these incredible classics reborn through the love of the next generation ! Keep it up !!!!!!!!! :-)
Kudos on your rendition of this classic. Great vocals and the musicianship is excellent.

Genial! 🇲🇽🇲🇽
Really this is a cover by The Animals, they were the 1st to do it in 1966.
We listed it as GFR because the arrangement for this version is much different, but the original is great. Thanks for listening
Yeah
song was cowritten by the Animals and recorded in 1966-GFR rocked it even harder
Long live Rock ´n Roll
She’s good 👍

Learned to play rock listening to grand funk, first favorite rock band even before zeppelin

Ma lo sapete che la versione originale è degli animals?
I think the animals did the original version
The Animals wrote this in 1966
Nice effort! It’s my favorite song. Now… find some more passion and kick some ass!!
The Animals did it first, 1966
Our cover is based off the vastly different arrangement of the Grand Funk Railroad version, but we surely appreciate the original.
