- Welcome to our travel vlog where we explore the stunning city of Amsterdam, Netherlands. Our journey began in the charming city of Utrecht where we hopped on our bikes and made our way to the train station. Once we arrived in Amsterdam, we were excited to explore the city and all that it had to offer.
Our first stop was a traditional Dutch fast food vending machine where we tried some delicious snacks. We then set out on foot to explore the beautiful canals and impressive architecture that Amsterdam is known for. We were blown away by the picturesque views and unique buildings that we encountered along the way.
After taking in the sights, we made our way to one of the city's best spots for fries. The queue was long, but it was worth the wait as the fries were simply amazing. For dessert, we headed to Amsterdam's best stroopwafel shop and were not disappointed. The stroopwafels were freshly made and absolutely delicious.
Of course, we couldn't miss the opportunity to visit the famous Anne Frank House, which was a moving and emotional experience. It was amazing to walk in the footsteps of such an iconic figure and learn about her story.
Overall, our first impressions of Amsterdam were incredibly positive. The city was charming, the people were friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. We can't wait to explore more of this wonderful city and share our experiences with you.

Hello! We're Maria and Olivia. We're currently living in Athens, Greece after deciding to follow our dreams and start a new journey together traveling within Europe (and hopefully beyond soon) and filming our adventures. We love what we are doing so far, we're learning so much about the world, ourselves, and each other every day and we hope you enjoy our content and have a smile or laugh along with us! 😊
Ooh, what a sweetheart that girl in her green coat!!🤗🤗
Amsterdam is a really beautiful city, I've been there a few times.
The museums are absolutely recommendable.
Anne Frank got famous because of her diaries, that's also why you don't really hear a lot from other victims of the Holocaust. This is also the reason why Steven Spielberg decided to record as many witnesses of the Holocaust in order to keep their memories alive.
The food in The Netherlands in gerneral with many specialities from its former colonies.
The Dutch mayonaise is in a special league. Absolutely delicious.
Biking is my favorite means of transportation! I would love to visit Amsterdam and its surroundings and bike through it. It's the best feeling! Great travel vlog Maria & Olivia! Cheers!
My husband and I live in Amsterdam and there are so many places to visit in Amsterdam, although all the places you visited are well worth seeing again, next time you can get out of the area you were hanging out in and it will be a more laid back experience as well as a different landscape.
Yum! Those fries and the caramel waffles look delicious 😋
Yes! Stroopwafels are the best! 😋🥰
6:04 no no nooooo kroketten do NOT contain potato. Nor cheese. Why do all tourists say that? It’s ragout.
I love Amsterdam! Thank you for a great video
Yes! Such a great city! Thank you for following our adventures Lesley 😊
I love stroopwafels especially the kind you warm up on top of your tea 🍵 or coffee ☕ the combo of hot beverage and stroopwafels are so delicious
Oh yesss! I couldn’t agree more! So good with a hot beverage! 😋😍

should go to maastricht in limburg !!!!
Maastricht is definitely on our list 😍 We have to come back to Netherlands for sure! So much more to explore 😁
A'dam has the biggest
historical 17th century centre in Europe.
There are several parts of sidestreets and canals (over 100 km just in the historic part) where you litterally walk in history, even outside the tourist-crossings.
There is so much still intact, because Amsterdam became poor later on so that the 19th century didn't break it all down.
The late 18th and 19th-century grandeur of all other European capitals just scipped A'dam.
The city really is unique in the world.
You need to get the smell of the architecture by knowing the art of painting of the Dutch golden age as well.
You'll get gripp on the republican atmosphere (still is present in the feel of the country)
It was the first republic as a country with a basic constitution, important for the french revolution and the founding of the U.S.
We live in Utrecht. I'm originally from Amsterdam. The center of Amsterdam is quite touristy with tourist prices. You should have gone to the Albert Cuyp markt.. and tried patatje oorlog (peanutsauce mayo and onions). In Utrecht there are also nice things to see. We didn't see you try herring or drop. And you should come back on Kingsday. ❤
Thank you for all the suggestions Pieter 😁 I’m bummed we didn’t get to try the patatje oorlog, sounds delicious! In our Utrecht video we try kibbeling, not the same as trying herring though 😁
@@MariaOliviaTravel 🤣Kibbeling is the amateurfoodtourexperience 😜
Hi 👋😊
We are not rude just very direct 😂
Stroopwafels never get old. I mean, they do, but I’ve been eating them my whole life and still crave them :) Btw, it is pronounced like “strope”, not “stroop” if you get what I mean :-)
Right?! They are so delicious, you can never have enough 😋 Ah thank you for the correction 😁
jammer dat de meeste toeristen niet weten dat Nederland groter is dan Amsterdam.elke keer weer de zelfde rondjes door onze Hoofdstad
Dat zullen dan rondJES zijn hoor !
You were in the ICE train, which requires an extra supplement 💶 😅
😅 by the time we realized that the next stop was Amsterdam..haha now we know for next time we are in Netherlands 😁
but this is utrecht not amsterdam
