I feel like if you’re a god like tekken player you already have a decent advantage when you try to play 2D fighting games, cuz you took the time to master one of the hardest fighting games of all time so anything that’s not as fundamentally challenging must come naturally to you at that point. Could be wrong but it’s always awesome to see someone who’s godlike at another game bring in that same skill set and fundamentals to a completely different ball game and still thrive

Being good at Tekken doesnt mean shit on your skills on any other fighting games. Every other fighting games has very different systems and metas revolving it so your Tekken knowledge is basically useless when playing any other fighting game. In Arslan's case he is just great at fighting games not because of his Tekken skills but because he can quickly adapt to the games he play.

Arlan Ash can play Tekken7 use many characters during tournanments (Zafina, Kuminitsu, Claudio, Geese, Devil Jin, Kazumi, Leo, etc.), KOFXV and SF6 (before Marisa now with Cammy) at high level and he WON many tournaments, keep beating Knee many times. Whereas most others Pro players I watch, they can ONLY play one fighting game and most only have One Main character keep playing over and over again. It's getting boring to watch them. Malbe cause they Don't Feel confidence enough to change this habit. Ex: Anakin, Super Akouma, Gosain, RiP, Double, etc. They like their comfort zone, stick what know best, never change or switch characters.
