Pauline Ferrand-Prévot has been World Champion of XC, road, and cyclocross, some of them at the same time (juniors).
Also, didn't Sam Hill race DH and Enduro pro this year? And he raced an XC Marathon race and did really well
Actually, she was both XC and cyclocross elite world champ in 2015. No gravity related disciplines, but still destroys everything
What a great show. Fun to look at this on a friday night. Martyn Ashton, what a troll of a man.
As an all-around racer, I'd point to Anneke Beerten. She has been consistently near the top since EWS started. Last year for the Queen of Crankworx she raced all most everything including DH, DS, pump track and even entered the Whip-offs in Whistler. Also for 2015 she was 4x World Champ, Euro Enduro Champ and was Dutch national XCE champ. And if we went back a bit she won 1996 and 1997 women's BMX world champs.
I'm so excited for those Hardtail vids! I definitely don't have the cash for a FS, so I'm hunting for the right HT and it's nice to see some attention given to 'em on the channel!
I love that they are getting more and more comfortable doing this show and the little in jokes etc are starting to spring up.

Recently I was trying out my new MTB track and we made a side berm and there was a hole by the side berm from digging and I came to the side berm and went over the side berm and went in the hole and went over the handle bars!
I dont know who is the best mtber, but I know I love Martyn videos and make me feel love,pride and tears every time I see him (no homo)

Martin Maes is amazing. I said he's going to be my 'dark horse' before this year's EWS season and look! It all worked out in Finale Ligure.
All rounders: Sam Hill - DH record speaks for itself; EWS placing well in the races he attended this year all in the top 10; Australian XC 100km marathon race this year placed 8th.

by the way could you do a vid on how to climb very steep hills / steps , I just have a thing about it that I cant resist , its a sort of see it do it fail / succeed type of thing with me :) , its slow but lots of thought has to go into it with positioning your weight back and forth during the climb ( just an idea for you lads ;) )

I hop around on my mountain bike a lot and I live jumping curbs and today I jumped a curb and my tire popped it was not even that hard what should I do to fix that

Downhill and Enduro are simply different versions of the same thing. Gravity assisted racing. The worlds best mountain biker would have to be able to ride uphill quickly as well. Of current riders it's likely either Jared Graves or Nino Shurter. You simply cannot remove the uphills because it's hard. An event that combined 2x dowhnhill stages, 2x flat stages and 2x uphill stages would give us the best all round MTBr in the world. Not an XC race as that's basically a cardio event only. Short 5 to 10min stages so it's fast and exciting. Seems crazy there's no such thing. We could call it the KOM. The King / Queen of the mountain. Goddamn I'd be keen to watch that.

i've just watched episode 80 (again) and i totally agree with everything blake said about
the 9 knights event. i went there for three days and even got to chat with sam
pilgrim, sam reynolds, nicholi rogatkin and many of the other riders who were all
doing the most amazing tricks on an incredible athletic level: i take off my helmet
to all of them!i was, however, a little disappointed that you did neither show nor mention Adolf
Silva's huge double back-flip, or Nico Scholze's smooth stunts on a borrowed
bike. i also would have liked blake to mention the great work done by andi
wittmann, german freeride pro and 9 knights course designer, and his crew. of
course the riders deserve all the attention they get, but i had met andi on the
course building site ten days before the event and was absolutely impressed
with what he and his crew of builders had created when i came back. the riders
risk their necks, for sure (anton's crash was scary!), but the builders sure
work their behinds off for events like 9 knights, and they seldom get the
praise they deserve. for my taste, you could make the best mountainbike show in
the world even better by shedding some more light on the people who move the
dirt and shape it so that the riders can fly.best

dan atherton rides 4cross and enduro on the same weekend, or has done- and used to race downhill, never wins anything either though
thats why we do it lads- the elation of a mention is way better than any sick trail or giant huck :L

edit, just checked and gee has won a 4x world cup, hes also had a couple of podiums at rampage
robert moore was that the same year as DH world champ?? that would make him the best i would say?!

in 2010 he won uci dh wc overall and got 2nd at rampage
in 2007 he won a 4x world cup, european dh champion, 3rd at dh world champs and a couple of 2nd places at dh wc's
in 2004 (atleast according to wikipedia) he was british national dh champ, won a dh wc and had a 2nd place at rampage
im not really sure how you compare across disciplines though. or work out best rider of all time, i mean gee had a great season in 2010, and the differences between dh and rampage arent that big.
My hero/ role model is Sam Hill! He was born in WA like me and also lives in Byford ( the same town was me) WOOHOO

Sam Hill winning a round of the DH not that long ago along with how well he's doing in the Enduro at his age put's him up quite high on my list for one of the best mtb riders.
Local hero for me would have to be Max Fredricksson. Always used to see him hanging out in the local bike shop parking lot, messing about on his DJ.

Best all rounder? Austin, Texas local Tristal Uhl. Road, XC, no true DH (that I'm aware of), but SuperD, Stage (BC Bike race) races, you name it. Guy is a beast and a fantastic all rounder on the bike.

they could make it after the single events so noone has a disadvantage for their main discipline. it would be loads of fun to watch and a big challange if you do it in a 1 or 2 day event
