Hey everyone, I must admit that when I watched this, I had no idea this was done in honor of the tragedy in Orlando. (I’m a dummy and didn’t read the description which I should have) It truly gives the song a whole new meaning to view it in that context. God bless the families of those we lost that night as they continue to cope with this every day. That kind of evil has no place in this world and I love you all! Love is stronger! #OrlandoStrong
Now that you've dipped your toe into Superfruit, you have to do 'Frozen Medley" (featuring Kirstie of PTX), "Defying Gravity" from Wicked, "Black and White" with Todrick Hall (also featuring Kirstie), and especially their original "Guy.EXE".
Both of them, please! Brian Justin at his best. And who but Scott would think of singing a song over a Hans Zimmer movie track (Inception)? Absolutely stunning.
I suspect (and hope) your reaction to THIS song on THIS day was purposeful and thoughtful. This cover was arranged and recorded in reaction to the Pulse Nightclub Massacre that killed 49 Americans 4 years ago TODAY. (The evening of June 11-12, 2016 in Orlando, Florida.) Each singer is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community. This was their tribute to those beautiful lives lost. As I walked the grounds of what is now called the Pulse Memorial, I listened to this song and wept uncontrollably as I counted the hundreds of bullet holes in the walls, now protected by plexiglass. The memorial attendant walked over to me to console and pray with me. I have never been so emotionally overwhelmed. 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
Wes, I had no idea this song was done for that until I saw some people in the comments mention it. Truly gives the song a whole new meaning. I did know today was the anniversary of that tragedy. Honestly still hard to comprehend such evil. Bless you, Wes! #OrlandoStrong
You had “no idea” but somehow reacted to this song - today of all days. Sometimes the Lord writes upon our hearts and we never even know it. He is mysterious that way. Thanks for your reactions. As a fan of Voctave and Tiffany Coburn (and now The Steeles!) I appreciate you and your channel. Big fan. BTW: my friends say we could be brothers. LOL. Check out the channel Highfalutin’ Low Carb. Later, “brother!” 🙃
I'm a 70 year old man who grew up on country, 50's and 60's music until I caught PTX on The Sing Off. Thanks to them and Superfruit I now listen to almost all music genres, even rap! These young folks changed my life and made it so much more enjoyable! This cover of Rise and also Superfruit's cover of The Promise has made me shed tears, not just in the message but the amazing vocals. Good luck on your channel Brad!
Each and every time I listen to this I get goose bumps and tears in my eyes. The beauty of not only the lyrics, but the artists themselves are overwhelming. Hard to describe in mere words.
I am so glad you got to hear this amazing rendition of the song. Poor Katy Perry, they blow her out of the water. Brian Justin Crum - you NEED to hear his performance of Creep by Radiohead on America’s Got Talent. The Promise by SF is amazing as well.
More a word vomit as a clean recommendation… but here it goes: Superfruit’s “Empire Medley” which FOX paid them to do and is MUCH BETTER than the tv series. All their Medleys (like 1989, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Rihanna...) and covers (Feeling myself, Happy little pill,...) are great. But there are also funny things like their more creative covers and interpretation of Stranger Things or “HipHop goes Broadway” 1&2 or “Pop goes Broadway” (feat. Shoshana Bean, "Blank Space/Jealous/Break Free") and always BLOOPERS - you won't stop grinning! Also, their original and solo stuff will blow your mind and mess with your heart. Mario was PTX's tour guy and Scott and Mario did an absolut crazy version of "LOST ON YOU". Scott listened to the original, his muse struck, he took the master of epic music Hans Zimmer, welded both together asked Morio out of the blue and they recorded it spontaneously - you should check it out! Another cover song fitting the situation right now would be Scott Hoying, Mario Jose and Julia Harriman "Blowing in the wind" Scott Hoying - “I should tell your momma on you” - A song where Acapella is taken to the next level: beat, melody, singing... all made by Scotty the beast of vocal chord control Another song would be Scott's & Caitlin Notey's version of "Creep"
Love this! I recommend the Superfruit videos that are their Evolutions of different artists. It's just Mitch and Scott and 2 mics and some background piano and they are all amazing, because.... you know..... it's Mitch and Scott, and their particular blend together is unique and perfect. Pick one that's one of your favorite artist's music. I love their Evolutions of Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, and their Empire Medley from the TV show Empire. Great reaction on Rise. You're gonna love their content!
This video always makes me cry. Brad, you should read the comments SuperFruit posted about this video. It's dedicated to the victims of the Pulse nightclub victims in Orlando.
@@lachimiste1 Yes! The first time I watched this video I knew all the other singers but had never heard of Mary Lambert. After all the powerhouse vocals and intensity we'd just heard, that one strong but quiet voice all alone at the end was breathtaking.
Superfruit has two albums, Future Friends pt.1&2. They have videos for both albums, so if u react to their album please, please start from the beginning. Superfruit's Empire Medley, Beyoncé Medley, Defining Gravity.
Brian Justin Crum (guy in the leather jacket) is SUCH an amazing vocalist. Here is his Shallow! th-cam.com/video/jDtDB9ZgUWw/w-d-xo.html And Into The Unknown! th-cam.com/video/WwtH60LYz5E/w-d-xo.html Scott and Mitch are SO amazing. its no wonder they enlisted BJC for this RISE video. Hope you will check out Brian's other videos in this post. All the best, Gary in SC!
Thank you for this reaction. All of them are part of the LGBTQ+ community and they recorded this song to honor the victims after the Orlando Pulse night club shooting. You should read what they wrote in the description under the video.
This is a great song and I respect the reason for doing it. The Promise is another really nice song. I'm a Home Free fan and they have a new video releasing tomorrow(Friday) at noon. It's called "Meet in the Middle" Would love more Home Free. They have so many good songs. I love Superfruit and I have my favorites . Thanks for reacting. God bless and stay safe
On Saturday, November 19, 2022 a man with an assault rifle entered Club Q in Colorado Springs, intent on recreating the horror that was the Pulse massacre. Fortunately, this time there was a hero present who ran *toward* the shooter and actually managed to take him down. (He says he isn't a hero. Now where have I heard that before? Oh, yes. It's what all the heroes say.) Because of his actions, this time we "only" lost 5 people. One was the mother of an 11 year old boy. 😢 I first heard about the Club Q attack on Sunday, just before attending my first ever Pentatonix concert, here in Denver. Scott talked about it at the concert, about how queer nightclubs are supposed to be safe places for members of the LGBTQ+ community and their friends, families, and allies to get together. And about what happens when someone decides to make that safe place unsafe. We had a moment of silence for the 5 we lost, those who were wounded, and the families and friends who will have to deal with the aftermath for the rest of their lives. And Pentatonix pledged a large sum of money to help out. And on Monday I found myself needing desperately to listen to this song again, and to reactions to it. It helps, a little. It's certainly going on *my* permanent playlist, because it's so powerful, and so empowering, and I need that. It is now a very bleek Thanksgiving day, the first since my husband killed himself, made worse by this atrocity. And I'm still listening to "Rise."
Sup3rfruit are amazing and different to Pentatonix. They have an album called Future Friends - the songs should be listened to in order but most got straight to Guy.exe because of the video
Also would suggest their Empire Medley (music from the TV show of the same name) and their Evolutions of Beyonce and Lady Gaga. Also check out Brian Justin Crum's performance of Creep. Have a great day, Brad!
Please react to Scott and Mario José ..."Lost on you" by LP .. amazing. ..SUPERFRUIT Hip-hop goes Broadway(1-2) Evolution of Lady Gaga and Defying Gravity.
Hi. If you like simple black backdrops and artists just singing into the camera, I would like to suggest nothing compares to you by Sinead (pronounced Shin ade) OConnor released in the 80s her cover of a Prince song is phenomenal. Deeply personal, as when she recorded the video her mum had very recently passed, with whom she had a tumultuous relationship.
You should check out Superfruit "Pop Goes Broadway". Also, the 3rd guy who sang is Brian Justin Crum, you should check out his performance of "Creep" on AGT. 😉❤💯
I too am terrible ar listening to current music. Ed sheeran and ptx and their respective offshoots are pretty much my music preferences. I also love panic and fallout boy and il divo. You could check out any of their music (il divo) specifically

The Promise is a must listen. It has Olympic figure skater Adam Rippon in the video. Pretty extraordinary !

Still gives me chills every time! It was done in solidarity of the LGBTQ community after the shooting in Orlando.
You HAVE TO check out Brian Justin Crums performance of Creep on AGT!
Get this more likes
This always makes me cry , but also feel hopeful that love can defeat hate
I totally love this version of the song. Gives me goose bumps every time I hear it.

Oof. Yes. Especially today. Cutting to just Mary at the end just destroys me every time.

This song was used as the American theme song for the Olympics. Didn't get much airplay except during that time.

Brian Justin Crum has an amazing voice. Listen to Creep by him.
You should check out Ben Platt, I think you’d enjoy his voice and his amazing runs and music style! I suggest the music video for Older or Bad Habit!

'70s hits were great, but that's coming from someone who lived through the '70s... Lol!
You should check out Ben Platt, I think you’d enjoy his voice and music style!
