The arrangement was done by Scott and Pentatonix's "sixth member", Ben Bram. Bram is an a capella singer/ coach / arranger / producer who has been co-arranging and producing with Pentatonix since their start. And that's Bram playing the piano here.
When Superfruit collaborates, you can be sure they choose the best. These singers are all superb, and with Ben Bram and Ed Boyer on the team, this is about as near perfect as any pop song cover has any right to be.
Thank you. Many people doing reactions comment on Mitch's voice, but you're one of the first to describe the science behind it. And, yes, what a powerful rendition of Rise
Remember that this was their respose to The Pulse Night Massacre" back in 2016. During Pride Month and the nightclub was a Gay Night Club. Each member is part of the LGBTQ+ community. Mitch is a Counter-Tenor with a high pitch voice. That is his regular voice. He was constantly teased and insulted. It is my belief that Mitch might not have made it through high school without Scott. Now that high-pitched voice that used to be used to hurt him, is making Millions a year,
You look old enough to remember Macklemore and Ryan Lewis's 2012 hit "Same Love". Mary Lambert co-wrote and sang the "She keeps me warm" refrain for that. Mario Jose is a US singer. He worked on a tour crew for Pentatonix and they became friends and even had him open one of the tour shows.
I wish I did know what the official word(s) are for "word painting. I feel there may be. Well...I went and looked it up...madrigal is one term, ascending melodic line ( using ascending notes coupled with the words ascending to heaven portrays that ascension), tone painting or text painting are also the correct terms. But I'm not sure what they'd call a decrescendo that accompanies the word RISE. It seems to be the opposite musically to the lyrics. Weird.
Can you making a reaction of "The Greatest Showman Cast - Never Enough by Claudia Emmanuela Santoso in The Voice Germany Audition"? you must reaction it... satisfying 🎉
scott and mario jose have a powerful performance of 'lost on you' but they put it to hans zimmer music. its really special.
The passion and pathos expressed here always brings me to tears. Such a horrible event that we must never forget.
One of my very favorite songs. Thank you for a great reaction. The more people who hear this song, the better!

As seen in "The Recording of Evergreen," Bram is also a producer and recording engineer.
