Hey Simon, great video as always. Thank you for this perspective of Singapore. Im 43 and i stepped on Ubin for the first time in my life after watching your Ubin video. Brought my bicycle there and had a great time. I dont think i would be able to see this side of Ubin if i didnt watch your video. Thank you and keep making good great videos.
Yo - that’s AWESOME! You got me thinking about all the cool stuff I probably missed-out on in my own country... Super happy that I could get you out and about, hopefully you had a great time!
Wow. I enjoyed your video very much! Tks for the beautiful and rare footages. Mixed with your witty commentaries, its a perfect score! Keep them coming!👏👏👏💯💯💯
This looks fun! I did it via kayaking starting and ending in Ubin around the mangroves. I think kayaking is a little bit easier than stand up paddle boarding but this looks cool.
Done A LOT of kayaking, but I much prefer SUP nowadays - it’s a bit more demanding, but the perspective you get is hard to beat. Like walking on water!
@@SimonSaysCanada lol no crocs down in Melbourne. Dolphins barely more of seals off queenscliff. But tours here r so expensive, Asia is much more affordable :p
Another fantastic one!!! Was just watching Alley Cat the other day. Bet u had a fun day with the guys. Hope you understand our Singlish!!! Otherwise you will be lost in language! 😂
Here’s a mind-blowing fact: french-Canadians use “lah” in the same manner, for the same reasons, and with the same pronunciation as Singaporeans (written “là” instead of “lah” but otherwise identical). Isn’t this crazy? Keeps blowing my mind every time I hear it because of how familiar it is to me! 😂
@@LovedDoxology68 you gotta be kidding! The entire Ontario has been in a 2nd lockdown with a stay home order since Dec 26. There is talk it will be extended by another 2 weeks as infection cases remainly stubbornly high, although they have come down a bit. Hospitals are at their breaking points...elective surgeries are cancelled and medical staff had been crying for the government to take more action as they are burnout. The #1 hotspot? Toronto. Daily cases there had been about a thousand everyday until recently, hovering at about 700 now. Why, because people were not complying with pandemic safe measures, stupidly and self indulgently gathering in large groups with NO mask and partying as if there were no pandemic. Fortunately, I don't live in Toronto. Sorry bud, I have no love for Toronto.
Should go for paddle..catch..and cook theme.. at the mangrove. but must follow the small release big keeper rules...crabs...fishes...🤤🤤but not crocs..😅😅
Hi Simon! Great work, I just moved to SG recently and your videos are helping me to get around here :) I was already on Pulau Ubin on a bike trip, went around McRitchie Reservoir and last weekend I saw some crocodiles in the Wetlands, all thanks to your videos!
Woah, amazing!! Glad I can give some pointers, but by all means, if you find some cool places on your own, do share them with me! I’m always scouting for new stuff to see and do.
Hi Simon, like your vids pretty much. May I suggest two points: 1) the 'front covers' of your vids can be more interesting. They can show the 'content' of your vids, e.g. animals, nature or your own activities, beside just displaying 'words' on them. 2) Try do 'food vlogs'. We Singaporeans love food. And all the more the 'persepctives' of foreigners here in Sg tasting/ trying out the different cuisines. From Indian cuisines to Chinese delicacies, from Malay food to exotic fruits like 'durian', you will really have a whole array of vids to post up here. :)) Hope you can get to have more subscribers henceforth! 👍
Try to not go alone the first few times. There are a few easy techniques to assimilate to become good at it - plenty of tutorial videos on TH-cam, check em out!
Great video Simon, thanks for featuring me! Looking forward to paddle with you again, and explore the less known part of Singapore together soon!
Hey, thank YOU for being so generous and welcoming! I’m stepping into your world out here, and it was a very cool trip indeed! See ya soon!
Im watching here also..
Open for collab here in singapore as well
Again, it depends on the collab.Alleycat and me happened somewhat by accident (I stepped into his world) and it turned out great. Didn’t plan for it!
Hey Alley cat do I need a permit if I wanna paddle board to pulauubin or if I wanna kayak there
Really love your sense of humour.
Looking forward to the next vid.
Thanks! Working on it as we speak!
Thank you bring us a different Singapore.
My genuine pleasure
Crazy stuff! That ship looked a bit too close for comfort. Catching the current looked amazing.
You gotta be ready for anything out in that channel! Could’ve been dangerous - was super fun instead!
Dude got special talent to produce some good scripts....either for comic or perhaps to rejuvenate our almost dying local TV programmes.
Too kind!
3 years later and im hooked onto the SUP hope i could meet both you and alley cat too🤭
SUP is great in Singapore!! Check out Sembawang mangroves if you get the chance!!
Snappy pacing, sharp humorous narrative... well done
I try hard! Thanks for commenting!
Rocking those "red shoes" on your feet Simon! Ronald Macdonald would be envious.
All natural, 100% Canadian leather 😄
Hi Simon, love your contents!!! Keep them coming. Happy Lunar New Year to you and your family. Regards

cool board paddling and different take of pulau ubin indeed,
Much more work this way than on a bumboat, I can tell you that much!
Looks like a fun activity for families and friends!
Indeed - provided they can stand on a wobbly piece of rubber and hold a paddle for upwards of 5 hours! 😁
I ever been here trekking during at night and I love it
Can’t wait to camp there, once it is allowed!
Awesome vidz as usual Simon. Love them, keep it up!
More coming! I’m having fun doing those, can you tell? 😄
Man I envy you.. u got to meet Alley Cat! He's a pretty chill dude, tons of great paddle board vids! I'm a closet fan of his too :)

Yet another great video...only .problem is...it makes me wonder what I am still doing here in Ontario, shovelling snow! 4x so far of 7 cm -10cm.😡
I’ve been wondering the same for 37 years before doing something about it 😎

What's with crocodiles?
No crocodiles in this video. Just the remote, primal fear of getting ambushed by one.
💚💙🌎💯
Thanks for the love!
