    Thanks for the content bc I was I little worried about mine not fully locking and being too darn thin at first. ❤❤

      They will thicken over time! And yes the struggle is real in the beginning :( but you got it!

    I started mines in December of 2017! I freeformed. I loved watching my hair transform into locs! Yours look great, I love how much body and movement they have!

    Did you only use the rettwisting to lock them? Have you ever used crotchet needle or back combing?
    Can you do a video on maintenance & care? (like how you put it up to sleep what you use etc)

    • @floraolivia11
      @floraolivia11  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I retwist to train them to lock and for maintenance. I have not used a crotchet needle (time consuming for me personally lol) and havent tried back combing!
      Noted! I will consider your idea for my next video!

    In your original video your parts were a lot smaller. Did you take those out and re part them or just combine some?

    • @floraolivia11

      Combined them!!

    Absolutely beautiful!! Love the locs! Do you have issues with the locs on the bottom like where your neck is pulling your baby hairs? I had partial locs and that’s what made me comb them out. I started getting bumps because the constant pulling of my baby hairs, but I have been really wanting to lock my full head.

    • @floraolivia11
      @floraolivia11  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you!! And honestly I only notice those bumps if I just did a retwist and my style may be a little tight

    What do you think about doing an ACV rinse? It should help with heavy feel of your locs. Do you miss your hair before locs would you consider going back.

    • @floraolivia11
      @floraolivia11  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey! Thanks and yes I have recently made it a routine to do more ACV rinses! I definitely can feel the difference. There are times where I see old pictures of myself with my curly hair and miss it but never do I get to the point where I want to go back

    Have you tried using a croshet hook on your dreads
    ?

      She answered some comments and said she never tried the crochet method as it is very time consuming for her, she only retwists.
      Hope my comment helped :)

    I love your videos. Can we be loc journey friends? I'm so serious. We have the same hair type and I'm 3 months locd (started with instalocs). I have a ton of texture and budding going on like you as well as the scalp issues you had when you started but I have so many questions. I really want them to be healthy and strong. Thank you so much for sharing your journey because it has been my lifeline during mine.

    Do you only do rewtists or have you ever used a crochet hook? I started my locs 3a/3b out with crochet hook but im thinking i wanna let my hair lock naturally by only doing retwists , what do you think?

    • @ry-hh3js
      @ry-hh3js 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have the same hair type 3b, 3c. I say do LESS retwist. I promise it will help your hair, im 10 months in and the less you retwist the more full your locs will look. Im semi free form. We already have fine hair, getting frequent retwust will only thin it out. Us with soft hair should try semi freeforming or just get less retwist.

      Yay!!! When it comes to starting them - I had my starter locs styled (barrel twist) and left it in for about 2 1/2 weeks. I feel like it helped the starting process much more.
