What happened her was Snaps, Ronnie and Kanan came up with a plan to extort Raq for the 500k. It was going good until Niq pops up and reveals to Kanan that he is still alive. That season 4 promo where Kanan is pointing the gun at someone in the streets…. That is Unique or D-Whiz’s brother that rolls up on him and Kanan is shocked and caught off guard. Niq is gonna have a different recollection of the events. He is gonna think they were all plotting on taking his heroine business from him and he will tell Kanan that it was in fact Ronnie who beat him to near death and its only a matter of time before he turns on him. Kanan will brush him off until Famous pulls up on him and tells him about Ronnie trying to kill his mom. Thats why Kanan approached Ronnie at the restaurant and he said You never said nothing about trying to kill my moms. That was not part of the extortion plot. He then finds Unique who is hiding at his mom’s house and they go to Kanan’s apartment and they come up with the plan to kill Ronnie and keep the money. Howard will be in on the plan somehow to put all the Jersey bodies on Ronnie but Raq screws it up by killing Howard. Thats why Kanan was shocked and caught off guard when Raq kills Howard.
Yeah Howard dying definitely wasn't part of the plan. Also going forward i think Marvin surprisingly goes by Breeze, not only cause he tells Raq he has to lay low from feds and mob, but...cause through Jukebox he finds out Raq's CI secret when she overhears Burkes dad and Adina talking about Howard. Therefore, Marvin(through Kanan) will give Jukebox that gun to kill someone and set up Raq for jail..but Jukebox makes mistake of telling Raq out of sadness

Marvin has two reasons to lay low(feds and mob), strong but not too smart(although he maybe came up with weapon stash idea from OG Power) and when Kanan said "he almost got all of us killed"? He likely was talking about the mob getting Thomas family ,not him,Ghost and Tommy.

I think that Raq will find out that Unique is alive and causing havoc to get Raq attention. Raq will set up Unique and tell D wiz older brother that Unique smoked D wiz to get rid of Unique and protect Lou Lou.
