the mics were on, thats literally how loud it is at field level. imagine playing and marching in step and not being able to hear anything... welcome to tbdbitl
Great job Rick! Always the total professional. The state of Ohio official rock song "Hang on Sloopy" with the Buckeye marching band. Love the modulation key change! Not bad man, not bad at all. Hoy
First saw Rick and The McCoys play this song at the Junior Fair Building in Van Wert, Ohio in late 1965. Rick grew up in Fort Recovery, just 40 miles south of Van Wert.
I was really deathly ill with cancer 5 years ago and Rick sent me two autographed Still Alive and Well t-shirts. One more good kid from the Midwest. No doubt about that at all. Annddd yes... someone forgot to turn the mics on! There were only two...
I remember playing this in the stands when I was in hs band. That was in 1969 to 1971. It would have been great to see Lisa Dalton there dancing. Wonder if she still does this dance.
Geeez lets do that again with the MIC ON!!

@@WilliaminOz I asked Lisa Dalton myself on TH-cam, Liz Brewer never danced on the video.
Lisa Dalton Leonard was the dancer
I always wondered what that girl's name was !! I knew it wasn't Sloopy!
Is this an instrumental, what was the sound man doing? Can't hear any vocals.... Oh, sound man is from Ann Arbor.
I thought he was working for the home team...
Something wrong with the P.A. system, can't hear Rick too well.
It is simply too loud for a simple microphone.. it kicks out
He played with Johnny Winter and made Winter better
All that opportunity and The MIC IS MUTED !?
sucess endless sloopy sensational
😳😳😳😳where’d their voices go???
♥Show♥
Did a Michigan fan sabotage the sound system?

Could have found a dancer in cut offs I'm thinkin'!!
Liz Brewer made this a hit!
This was a hit long before Brewer danced to it!
@@terrydouglas5008
Exactly!! 😎
Liz Brewer did not dance in the video. It was Lisa Dalton Leonard or Lisa Leonard Dalton.

Wow the sound is terrible.
It is truly sad. be nice to hear it live, or recorded with some quality.
What’s wrong with the mike as you can’t hear him properly at all.. It’s shite anyway..
You must like "CRAP"
THE "C" BEING SILENT! 🚽💩🧻
Jeez, the drummer just looks so naff. Please get him some denim at least.
AWFUL SOUND
AWFUL FOOTBALL TEAM
Good song, rubbish equipment set up. Does no-one know what they are doing?
Ohio doesn’t have any good sound men.
