My wife had got me listening to John Starnes back early 1985, I turn to his Music when Life seems to be Overwhelming, My wife passed in 2009 I thought I had Lost my purpose for Living, I Still morn her Loss but I know that I Know she is in heaven, If you ever read this John you have helped me through some of the toughest time's in my Life ,I seem to always listen to The lighthouse it's a Reminder for me to carry onward Thank You, Brother Starnes One day I hope I will see you again, In heaven with my wife by my side.
I am 68 years of age and a year ago the Lord led me into prison ministry with a wonderful team of people. And I can testify that one is never to old to get involved in this type of ministry. It is a life changing experience and at my age I still am learning more. Prison ministry is very dear to the Lord's heart.
Very dear and very very talented John Starnes passed away in November of 2014. we don't know any details of his passing, but THIS we DO KNOW: he was one of the most anointed Gospel singers of all time. His rendering of "Jesus is the Lighthouse" on DayStar is simply incredible. what a wonderful voice & heart.

Now you're touching my heart (a heart that has grown cold toward Christianity in recent years) with your involvement in Prison Ministry. THIS is what REAL Christianity is all about! at my age of 11, Jimmy Swaggart came to Costa Rica, and he presented his band, and this guys at the end, but when he began to sing, I heard like one angel singing by using his voice. I got impressed and that moment kept in my mind from that time and on. It was back on 1983, so it didn´t want to say my age, but now I did as a supporting idea... :)

I was brought up with Johns gospel songs in the 80s and it's a blessing seeing him now that I've all grown up now. God bless you John ♥♥

John Starnes is not dead! He lives in Marietta, Ga. He gave up singing and now does real estate. Check him out on Facebook.
