🌹We like that you prepare some recipes that we can replicate. Or see another version. We occasionally prepare tofu,but have never added a little meat. We're going to try this at home. On a previous comment I inquired about items from your birthplace being represented in your home. I forgot about your kind husband's cap 🧢 and your beautiful dashiki dress. My apologies 😗. Didn't know that's how the traditional way of making lye water. In my country in South East Asia, bottled lye water is available in supermarket & grocery shops. Not super common but not impossible to find. We add lye water when making yellow noodles and traditional cakes to give them colour, bounciness and translucency.

Actually Asians and Africans have a lot in common when it comes to traditions, conduct and customs. This is a huge reason why a lot of Chinese men are able to marry and live with an African woman. As an African woman I can say we really are similar to them culturally in many ways 😊.
