    Nicole is so right;
    It is VERY freaking satisfying.
On one of my early wood splitting videos like I said it's very cathartic.
I thought of mental emotional but that means emotional release. Is it very much a way to do therapy...
I'm 69 years old and a church wedding with about 3 years ago but if someone had told me that I would get addicted to splitting firewood I would have told him they were absolutely insane because manual labor was not in my vocabulary I hated manual labor.
His brother Pedro was okay but I hated to sweat...
I was a bookworm worm and I grew up reading.
Because you went camping so much in the summer time into the farms I learned to love the outdoors.
Then we move to the country in 1997 and we had to eat with wood... But my son's always splitfire wood or we had a somebody with a log splitter nearby.
But 2017 at 62 years old, I became addicted to splitting firewood!!!
I think I will live longer because of that!!!

While I heartily endorse Nicole's use of the "okie-dokie" phrase, be it known that it's been in use since before she was making wonderful content for all to enjoy. (It was a commercial with the "Sasq" (sasquatch) character for "Kokanee beer" from the Columbia Brewing Company, Creston, BC since the 1980's. Look them up, very clever.) I doubt anyone from the brewery would mind Nicole's use thereof.
Okie-dokie, then. I hope that helps clarify the origin, but I also hope Nicole continues to use it to focus her power, whilst chopping, um, wood.
Cheers from a displaced West Kootenay guy and Kokanee hoser-in-plaid.

If this has to be a whole genre I couldn't think of a better and more brighter ambassador to the genre then Nicole. At first when I ran across her videos I thought "This has to be some kind of thirst trap or some strange form of therapy. But the more videos I got to seeing honestly I couldn't stop. Always bringing a smile, not taking yourself serious and throwing in a little actual education at times lol. Seriously, Nicole I adore you and your videos have brought me out of dark moments without fail. Also sorry I haven't subscribed before, your videos showed up in my feed all the time and I just kept liking them. Much love

I split wood for stress relief and also to heat my shop in winter. If I get frustrated with a project I grab my axe and goto work. Sometimes firearms do the trick.

Your videos are just as cute and fun as the other videos you played! Don’t be too harsh on yourself, you’re doing great! Loved discovering more lumberjack content on this video, thank you for sharing!

First saw Hannah Lee more than a year ago. There's a girl who is fearless and just does what comes to mind. She's more than a Tool Time gal. Also is wood a synonym for something that I'm missing? Wood is mentioned a lot on here oddly enough. It makes me laugh

There is something about chopping wood. You bust up easy pieces all the time. But then you get to a 3 ft diameter tht is 20 inches long. And it seems impossible. Then something makes you go, f that I’m chopping it. Swing after swing and finally, breathing heavy axe(or sword) in hand you look down and see your opponent split before you. It’s very satisfying.

I spent my childhood splitting ash and maple--and it sucked. Now, I am an IT guy with a wife of 24 years and 2 chihuahuas.....but I have my splitting maul in the shed. If firewood ever shows up, I will split it!

You should try splitting with a wedge. But... A wooden wedge. Using like 3 or 4 on the big logs makes it wayyyy easier to split.

I'm currently involved in splitting and stacking my firewood for the coming winter. I wish you were here. I use several axes, but mainly a heavy splitting axe, one piece from haft to blade. You attack large rounds, which would be too much work for me. I don't make videos, but I share photos of my round stack. Not that it matters, but I'm hetero, all my life so far.
