The purpose of the project is to segregate or classify materials such as: aluminum (which will be compressed), wood, glass bottles, paper cups and plastic bottles (which will be compressed). The means of transportation was a 5ft by 5inches conveyor belt, built by us. The expulsion and compression system used were pneumatic pistons controlled by 2 electronic manifolds, that were coordinated by a PLC. Inputs such as sensors and push-buttons were used also coordinated by PLC programming.

How could you differ glass and plastic? which sensors did you used?
you maybe can use optical sensor to detect shape, but in this case it's seem his used laser sensor

I think this is not working as they didn't tell us what they used
This is not segregating machine. U first only segregating waste and keeping on conveyor belt. U have to keep all kind of waste at once, then if it will seperate then it is useful
