Governor Parkop's speech during Tete Specialist Hospital ground-breaking ceremony

The ground breaking ceremony for the 200-bed provincial specialist hospital project for the National Capital District was hosted jointly on Friday the National Capital District Commission (NCDC) and the National Department of Health (NDOH) at Tete project site in Moresby North-West Electorate.
The groundworks for the project, which is worth K800 million, will start next week.
K30 million has already been released by the National Government.
The hospital, aligned with the National Health Plan, will be delivered under a Built-Operate-Transfer arrangement.
NCD Governor, Powes Parkop assured Tete settlers that they would not be evicted and that the settlement will be upgraded with roads and amenities to complement the hospital development.
