...so from what I can figure out by reading the mod's description on ModDB, there's some really incoherent story about the protagonist, named Rick, wanting to kill some guy after an assassin sent by the antagonist tries to kill him after pulling a prank by slipping a lit stick of dynamite in his mailbox. And the reason why there's so much weird shit happening is because the protagonist is trapped inside the antagonist's shittily made VR FPS simulation, and he needs to survive it or die trying.
I think FNAF has a better plot than this, and the story in that crap is almost non-existent. Even if this mod didn't have a story, and I really wish it didn't, it would still be the same joyless piece of shit I wasted my time watching. But I'm only watching it for Vinny. Why? Because Vinny helps me through times like these.

Finally, a walkthrough of Sleephorst! Getting stuck on the first level but this video helped me.
I laughed so hard at 16:35. "Oh, now there's an arrow pointing to the hole. Yeah, like, let me just fly back up there real quick... I actually flew up there real quick."

I love watching Vinesauce but Vinny is sometimes way too impatient. Such a short fuse, gets really frustrated so easily.. Many rage quits. Sometimes I get the feeling that he doesn't like doing these "weird stuff" videos but just does them because internet loves it.

+Torgo When you're livestreaming to a few thousand people at a time, and are on a tight schedule to playthrough multiple games in one night, when games take longer than planned, that can be frustrating.
Also he is a late-nighter, often plays these games after midnight or close to it, so his tiredness could also be a factor as well.

Holy shit, Vinny needs to learn how to reload before combat.
again, to fix the missing controls bug, go into the mod's folder (in this case Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life\Sleephorst) then go into the gfx folder, then into the shell folder and delete the file "kb_act.lst"
i think it's a bug caused in some mods that are made for older versions of half life 1 (before valve did the big update around 2013)
edit: i've just gone back to the mod myself, and it turns out that you're not supposed to go into the pipe at the top of the house in the area with all the platforms
you were supposed to shoot the lightbulb inside the house, resulting in a "warp zone" area being opened with a pipe which will lead you to the actual next area

Vinny's music is a'ight. I wouldn't pay for it, as paying for things online is difficult as it is, but if he ever played it on stream i wouldn't mind in the slightest. I've also recommended it to friends who also watch him.

Man, for someone who's been playing a lot of HL1 and it's mods, Vinny is a fucking terrible hl1 player.
One of the things I mean is he exclusively reloads his weapons standing in front of his enemies while getting shot.
Also this mod is babby's first torture map: the collection.
