*Fun fact:* For those who dreamed of a Superman movie that would live up to the previous ones, a few years ago, they released a magnificent comic called Superman'78, which is the true Superman III that we fans deserved. This comic shows an invasion of Earth by Brainiac written and drawn in the purest style of Richard Donner's movies. Believe me, it's worth a lot more than what Warner did after Superman II
Favorite Superman moment(s): Well, there's the moment Superman says "I'm so proud of you" in the story written, illustrated, and lettered by Daniel Warren Johnson. Then there's the moment, at the "end of the beginning" when "Superman" tells Billy, "My real name is Clark". (From the "First Thunder" four issue limited series.) As always thank you so very much for the videos. Honorable mentions: Superman (#276 - 1974) meeting "Captain Thunder"/Willie Fawcett (A Native American version of Shazam.) Superman's encounter with Hulk, in the crossover "Bat-Man" vs. The Incredible Hulk. And the DC Comics Presents (Superman Team-up comic) (#10 - 1979) (Yeah, I'm a long-time reader (since 60s)) where Superman's in WWII and meets Sgt. Rock.
I would love to see them made as a movie. Would be cool to see and show my sons that Superman can beat the incredible hulk. They are always saying Hulk would beat Supes despite me saying otherwise. It would be cool.
Superman fave moments from the comics: 1. Superman first meeting Supergirl : "The Supergirl from Krypton". 2. Superman meets US President John F. Kennedy : "The Superman All-Star Spectacular!" 3. Superman meeting Dr. Doom at the Latverian Embassy (1981's Marvel Treasury #28: Superman and Spider-Man: The Heroes and the Holocaust.). 4. Superman saving astronauts attempting to land on the Sun in All Star Superman #1. All seems lost, with a scientist screaming: "We're gonna die! We're going to DIE!" Then Superman comes in, declaring: "Not if I can help it!" That's Classic Superman! 5. The Wedding of Superman and Lois Lane (Superman: The Wedding Album).
How about ... DC asks some long-time fans, "what do you like to see in a good Superman story?" and then make a movie out of that. I'm pretty sure that's what Marvel does; hell, they let those long-time fans write and direct the movies.
I think it’s the PERFECT time to do a Superman: Red Son movie. It would be controversial, refreshingly new, and could potentially provide an entertaining way to provide interesting commentary on current events. 🤔
Warner: "Did you like Superman II, kids?" Fans: "ABSOLUTELY!" Warner: "Good, because there's more to come! In just a few years you'll have Superman III!" Fans: "Really?! And who will be the villain next timd? Brainiac?" 😃 Warner: "No" Fans: "Parasite?" 😀 Warner: "Neither" Fans: ...The Toyman?" 😐 Warner: "Uhhh... Nope" Fans: "Who's the villain, Warner?" Warner: "Richard Pryor and a low-budget Lex Luthor who isn't even Maxwell Lord. There will also be an evil Superman, but he won't be remotely memorable as the evil counterparts Ultraman and Bizarro" Fans: "...Hope Christopher will manage to keep up his career after this..."
Ay, Ewan. Glad to see you back at work. It’d be nice if you guys would start doing more with this channel, like you used to. Now we get a video every two weeks, some of which are reuploads, and that’s it. This just used to be my fave channel when you and Zooey talked about the new comics and the lists came more often. Right now it seems like y’all have given up on the channel.
For me, Christopher Reeve's Superman I and II remain the best live action iterations of the Man of Steel. He embodied Superman's personality and code of conduct, plus, the original film was respectful to the characters. Far better Glenn Ford's Pa Jonathan Kent over Kevin Costner's, who treats Clark like an X-Men mutant.
I think Superman III deserves a lot more scorn than what it received at the time. I mean, how did we go from two terrific installments packed with charismatic actors, epic action, emotional moments, and memorable villains like Lex Luthor or Zod to a stupid parody with one-dinensional villains that do not even exist in the comics, an absurd plot, and a really unfunny Richard Pryor? Not even the Supergirl movie (which you can tell was made with more effort and care) was that bad. They literally took away the enormous potential that this saga brought
This proposed Batman v. Superman sounds WAAAAY more terrible than BvS. I actually enjoyed BvS: it had many comic storylines that I saw from reading the books.
JJA needs to take a break for a little while longer. He hasn't made a good movie in over a decade. Lost was also trash. He should probably be an assistant instead of head writer.

8:17 What's this from? I can read it, but I don't recognize it.
Kevin Smith better not EVER touch Superman, after what he did to He-Man.
Agreed

Oh i wish they would of made every single one of them 😂
I love anything with Superman in.

Nicolas Cage will make a great actor for "Death Metal Superman."

Interesting
That last comment 🤦🏼♂️
After what he did with He-Man lets be glad Kevin Smith didn't ruin Superman.
