Weird, I never had the tongue problem with the Cut 2 but I had heel slippage. Everything else was near perfect for me, the cushioning is insane and the traction was perfect for me. They took a lot of time to break-in like you said but after that they were great (other than the heel slippage). I do think colorway changes performance because my colorway has a really really thick tongue, vs the other versions I've seen have a really thin nylon like tongue. Because of the Lebron 21 and Lebron 16 I haven't even touched them but I may use them as outdoor kicks down the road (or just donate them lol).
I love the gt cut 2s. I have the christmas color way and i have had no problem for them especially with the tongue. Np with the break in time either. Otherwise great vid!
Funny how 3 of the main shoes in my rotation are given as pairs to avoid 😅 I guess to each his own as someone who works on feet health and strength I prefer not having the shank so my foot can be free and it allows me to react and jump quicker but I guess for people who have lazy feet and have weaken the ligaments in their feet it might be needed. Still I`d recommend maybe getting some barefoot shoes to work out in. Informative review though and a nice touch to offer an opinion on alternatives. Keep the good work !

But as you said, they have ZERO torsional support… i sprained my ankle after 15 Minutes without any other players impact. Please all stay away from the GT Hustle 2 unless you want a break from playing basketball.
I say ja 1. Traction is only one good thing about the shoe. Fit is tragic, if you have wide feet go size up or don’t buy them. When I was playing in those I have a feeling that I will do something bad with my ACL. For me is a really bad shoe
Bro so with like a 100 shoe in your collection do u just left them on the shelf when are bored with them or u jsut eventually give them away or the shoe just broke down tok much for a pro to play?
I actually do all of that. I have some favorites that I always go back to, I give away some of them, sell some of them and keep some broken pairs I’m attached to in my collection :)

Great question! Interestingly enough I feel way more secure in the freak 5. The cushioning isn’t as soft and wobbly as well
