The siege crossbow really strikes me as a support weapon more than anything. A decent counter to engineer walls, but probably not so much against a person.
I guess in specific circumstances it has purpose but they're so specific that it just doesn't make sense to use it over the likes of the war bow. You can body an entire lobby with that weapon 🤣
@@WolfBornePlays I agree completely, the war bow is a weapon of mass destruction. The siege crossbow was a neat concept, but I don’t see it being anyone’s preferred choice.
As an engineer I've yet to see anyone shoot my walls with one. It may take a bit for people to realize they should be doing that because walls do help win matches
@@WolfBornePlays Some archer guy I run into he never talks, but he always tops the score board. I'm not sure if he is a cheater though. I wondered if he was playstation because of the _. Watching him play is weird he never misses
@@Christian-tw3sp He could play on pc and that way seem to appear to be on xbox. There's so many pc players running cheat scripts, mods and hacks because the game had no anti cheat. It's so sad but it does exist! I'll keep my eyes out for him, we may have already crossed paths over the last 2+years I've played 🤔
@@WolfBornePlays I'm on pc but use controller, i dont know what he uses he doesnt relpy to chat. But he is either the best archer in the game or hes cheating. Im a good archer man, even in sweaty to servers. never seen someone never miss shots. I havent had a top scoring archer game in a long time though lol
Cheers bro, you can definitely feel the nerf to aim assist for sure and the siege crossbow in particular is slow and unreliable but from the few mins I ran with the warbow it felt OK. The pc overlords think we're done now there's a big nerf to aim assist but all I can say is... "Hold my Beer!" 😎🍺
I haven't used the GS yet since the update. I've barely played to be honest but I'll check it out next time I'm on. It wouldn't surprise me if they made a weapon feel worse than it did before, wouldn't be the first time.
Besides the new map and new crossbow and a battlepass there's not a great deal on offer. The 1v1 horse jousting seems to have been scrapped and the last peasant standing mode isn't live yet either so it's just the new map to enjoy ✌️

They announced two new maps : mounted/ jousting arena and a peasant ffa/tdm map, but nobody bats an eye on those promises, also the servers are shite as always.

Hey dude, I can't remember what my sensitivity settings are off the top of my head but I remember they're ever so slightly nudged up from default. I do have a full settings video for Chivalry I posted not too long ago if you have a scroll I'm sure you'll find it. That covers all of my settings, I use the same setup for both melee and ranged gameplay it works for me so I just left it as is. ✌️
No in all honesty I don't think they'll go that far. There's so many tears over this games archery that introducing ballistics as you described would only serve to further divide the player base. Would be fun for one time limited game modes though!

I was thinking more in terms of utility as a weapon, the siege crossbow is really slow and cumbersome and from my experience the last time I used it half my shots would phase through the enemy with zero hit detection. If I'm ever running ranged weaponry, this is my last pick of weapon 🤷🏻
You're correct bro, in the patch notes for this update under 'known issues' is a list of bugs for the siege crossbow. It has many issues, the hilarious part is Torn Banner spent 6 months sitting on this update and actually released it with the only new featured weapon with a host of bugs. You can't make it up 😂🤦
Its another failure :( ever since the horse update Ive gone from 200 hours to barely 220 after all the "improvements" I do give them a try tho and completed the free passes but couldn't be bothered by this new one. The map is just meh at best playing only the playlist featuring it and every game was so one sided and short, weirdly also played as Tenusians for 80% Adding another strong bow weapon is just bland as updates can be as archer class is limited in number so every game few people are actually accessing it, god forbid you need to grind up to unlock it also, I just mean personally in this genre of game if they add a ranged weapon it should be paired by a new melee for the other 95% of players Combat still feels super wonky but I havent played in months, still no option to play with PC crossplay off even after giving the game away for free on PS plus Especially after horses! Why keep implementing weapons or mechanics that detract from the Melee aspect is beyond me, its like if COD went "realistic" and was pure drone gameplay lol I tried to love this game and Mordhau isnt scratching the itch either just wish the TB developers would get their heads out the piggybank and make the game stand out
I agree bro the game has limitless potential but is flawed by poor decisions, shoddy console issues that are forever neglected and a lack of transparency and communication with the community. It could be so epic if even just a few long standing issues and optimization for console was addressed. But here we are 😔
I wouldn't worry too much about the siege crossbow it's trash in comparison to it's counterparts. The war bow is still the symbol of fear that won't go away 🤣

The greatsword felt better and the triangle attks windup wasnt so annoying maybe its just me but it definitely felt smoother
