Gamers will always hate something about their game and other peoples playstyles. Just think of the engineer in another game, theyre buildings are usually a non-issue and they still get hate
Actually the whole thing is pretty entertaining, the sweating engineer made me laugh, and hitting the drop traps in front of the barricades was satisfying. Nice job.
The incentive to play engineer would be greater if they gave you points for putting barricades near objective areas, along with earning points for enemies hitting your barricades. Otherwise, it’s just putting up barricades and sitting behind with a spear I found and poking people.
Top tip for you budding engineers, leave enough space in between your walls to allow teammates to attack through the gaps. Having at least two engineers group up with some spear users is one of the best ways to take advantage of this. Also, placing that spike thingamabob behind a wall allows you and your team to hop over while blocking enemy advances.
Fun fact, after you place you bear trap or spike trap you can pick up a secondary weapon which opens up so many possibilities for things like environmental traps

I love playin engineer. Most fun class so far! Building walls right infront enemies just to swing arround with a sledge is just unmatched! The new weapon is also great! Walling up objectives can be crazy effective especially if there are 2 or more engis in one team. Good fun!

I’ve only seen this one video so far and you’re already one of my favourite chiv youtubers. I can tell you’re good at the game but it’s also funny and that’s what sets it apart. A lot of good chiv players are just kinda boring.

TBH engineers at least in most of my games are completely under used. A well coordinated engineer duo even can make an objective hell. Sometimes battles get insanely uneven and being an engineer will help annoy and slow the momentum for a bit
I'm gonna be totally honest, I play field engineer not for the buildables but for the sheer hilarity of the opportunity to beat actual full plate knights to death with a shovel. We are not the same.
