Charlie knew about his habilities when he took his mom's powers by accident, he can't control it. When his mom died, he lost the powers, so he thinks that the powers are borrow. If he die, the powers return to their owners. This isn't a spoiler, they only explain it in the book.
Something I actually enjoyed throughout this series is that they solve problems fairly quickly rather than have several episode long arches e.g. once Babe confronts Charlie about possibly working for Tony, this is being solved within this episode rather than dragging this issue into the next one. I really loved the camera work in Babe and Way´s scenes especially when rewatching and picking up on all the small nuances of Way´s behaviour.
One thing I can say about Charlie's character is that he doesn't know how to express well what he feels. He felt like it is better to solve things on his own probably because he grew up as an orphan and doesn't have anyone to guide him. He prefers sufferring himself than making other people suffer.
I hope that in season 2 they'll be able to make Charlie's intentions clearer. In the book, his character is actually very lovely which is not much explained or seen in the series.
Never. Way was so manipulative and then plays victim, when he is actually one the reasons Babe has trust issues. He says they can't trust and no one will love them unless it's beneficial for the other person. When you hear that type of stuff over and over you believe it, then Way wonders why Babe doesn't love him more than a best friend.
@@jaidenjovan28Yes. Way is one of the main reasons why Babe has a hard time trusting people. He kept on manipulating Babe into thinking that he deserves no one and that he is better alone.

Also, in the book, Charlie actually has low self esteem. He thinks that Babe deserves someone better and that he is just not worthy of Babe's love.
This is my main gripe about Charlie, he keeps lying , he's not exactly helping anything LOL
Right? Like baby boy, we keep trusting you, and then you turn around and make everything Way’s saying seem true 😩😩
@@TopherReacts Way FTW? LOL , nvm people will kill me, I'm biased to Supanut anyway
@@onesantalks8105 Supanut? All day everyday, but Way?…mmmm, maybe we can bring Dean back for him or something lol
@@TopherReacts My Baby Girl Supanut deserves the world, LOL

He claims he came to help, but is entirely focused on dating.
I feel so sorry for Way.
