The amount of people I’ve seen defend way as if their life depended on it is insane. People were saying things like “I could never hate way” or I felt bad for way (in the scene were he as’d/ attempted 🍇ape babe)” and even “But way good intentions 😢”. Like I genuinely thought we were all on the same page with disliking way 😭
"Nipples" gets me every time. Like I literally start cracking up with expectation when I know that a smexy scene is coming up. Fully agree with what you said about Way and what he tried to do to Babe despite his obvious unwillingness. Personally, I think that outside of his belief that it was the only way to appease Tony, he also knew that it was the only way he would ever have Babe at this point since Babe is well and truly head over heels for Charlie. Which is also why it astounds me that there are so many Way apologists who not only want a redemption arc but continue to ship him with Babe. I literally blacklisted a reactor because she kept s*itting on Charlie while claiming Way as her fave. Is he a well written character and can he still be useful to the storyline? Absolutely. But there are some things that should not and cannot be forgiven even in the fictional world.
this episode is so hard to watch with all the Way stuff, I hated him from the beginning but even i was like how can you stoop so low. Poor Babe. As for the Tony stuff, yes it's hard to get away from your abuser so you gotta give these boys a break on that. I love the whole sequence at the end. I love when Charlie is vulnerable and Babe comforts him, and I love the crosscutting between the sex and the race. When Charlie loses and Babe is not even mad for me that makes it even more painful
