Window covers are VERY easy to make, more effective if done right, and cost a fraction of store bought. You can make them at a park with a table. Look up reflectix window covers tutorials. One tip though, you do NOT need to try to make a template. Just mush the reflectix material up into the very edges and use a sharpie to trace, then cut about an inch or a little less extra around your tracing. Hey guys i recently lost my job and am currently struggling about to lose my apt. I'm going to have to live in my car for a few months and taking this opportunity to move out of my current little town into a bigger city for more/better job opportunities all im concerned about is the heat, how do you sleep when its hot outside? I can deal with the cold with a -0 sleeping bag but the heat i ordered a USB fan and a portable power bank from amazon but not sure if thats going to be enough im moving to Oregon and I have a little hatchback car thank you!
If that UPS thing is legit it's a game changer. Especially for the gypsy style vehicle life. It's actually problem number one, everything else has been figured out for longer than we can imagine. There's even stuff you can't order from walmart and pick-up in store, curbside or otherwise. Word of advice, there are planet fitness in plazas with private security. This means planet fitness has nothing to do with the security and you are a risk to the other store's. Understandably they will notice the same vehicle every night. I just used mine as a parking spot so I could ride my bike everywhere and come back and shower before I went back to camp. They threatened to tow my van day two, wasn't even trying to sleep there. Crazy. But you should definitely focus a video on that UPS thing, it's a real struggle across the board, bike packing/ touring, every type of vehicle life, even just long trips. Gooloo makes a jump-starter/tire pump, that can run 12v devices and has fast charging (for up to USB capable computers). If your really on a budget or just for short trips a cheap walmart car inverter is great. I got one so I had outlets for passengers a long time ago. Great video, all good advice!
Great advice, especially with the first part about positive mentality. I used psilocybin mushrooms to complete obliterate my depression. Highly recommended trying them if anyone is having trouble with pharmaceuticals, but definitely do some research first. I'm fortune enough to have access to a restaurant, fitness center, washrooms and showers at work, but I'm on day 211 of sleeping in my car to avoid paying rent. All the $$ I save goes into high yield investments with the goal of one day being capable of buying a house and other things in cash.
If your happy and not hurting anyone then thrive with your living arrangements. If your healthy and can live as a minamilist successfully then you have less to worry about. You seem to have figured out how to make it work.
If you have a modern phone you can have it charging from your car all night and it's not going to drain your battery because it's a new phone it's not going to keep pulling power after it's charged it's going to stop pulling power after it's charged
I tried to give this the benefit of the doubt. But Jordan, I think you need to move back in with your parents. It's one thing to have no choice but to live in your car. It's another to do it voluntarily and advocate for others to do so. Having to constantly watch out for the police, eating peanut butter sandwiches and canned food, and sleeping in the elements (cars have terrible insulation) when you don't have to is foolish. Before you give advice to others make sure your house is in order.
He clearly said in the beginning of the video, which is understood in every video you may watch on TH-cam, that this alternative lifestyle is NOT for everybody. So he must have been talking about you. He is clearly doing well, so if that bothers you, then the problem doesn't lie with with him pumpkin 🤔😉🫡
@@oljerseysoul8724 I’m not mad. I’m just calling out bad advice. Living in a car isn’t something that’s not for everyone. Generally speaking it’s not a good idea for the vast majority of people. Cars have bad insulation. People don’t take kindly to camping so you have to constantly look over your shoulder. You don’t have a bathroom or a shower on hand. It’s just not a good idea “pumpkin”. Ultimately Jordan is not doing this wholly voluntarily. If he hadn’t made some bad financial decisions, he’d be sitting nice and tidy in an apt. I like Jordan but I generally believe that one should have their stuff together before they start giving advice to others. That’s clearly not the case for him
Bruh obviously him and nobody else here has that mindset… it’s only bad advice to you because you have been conditioned to think that having less is bad. Like he said bro, he escaped the matrix. What that means for him, you cannot know. And that’s ok. Plus you do realize that living in your car is still luxury compared to the rest of the world in complete poverty. See, it is a mindset.
@@alexmora8841 Also most of the world isn’t in complete poverty. You make it seem like anyone living outside of the US is living like starving Marvin. Completely ignorant statement lol. Most people at least have a roof over their head. They’re not camping in a car alternately freezing or boiling and watching for cops. On a serious note, if someone is in a situation where that’s the only choice they have, then best wishes to them. However if someone who does not have to do that does it and then advocates for it, he’s making an actual mockery of people in that situation. Which is what Jordan did. He milked views by living in a car for less than a month and then went back to his parents house.
Sucks jobs hold 2 weeks I got a full time job but staying in my car currently , first check I wanna get a hotel room even for a night just to have a nice hotel bed and a hot shower , until then maybe get planet fitness I haven’t showered in 5 days 😭
For me its more convenient to do this life style doing seasonal work out of state night shift. Instead of doing that driving back and forth between shifts not to mention cost of gas. Spending that same money on Airbnb or hotels just to sleep between shifts is also kind of impractical.
My shit 10 times worse especially on days I don’t work and I feel like I’m never going to get out of this car… It’s been two years. What do you mean don’t do this lifestyle Playa when I don’t got nowhere to go

The first 1:00 was str8 facts before I even went further
He said it doesn't have to be the jackery unless they sponsor one of my videos. LMAO
It's your life at the end of the day
Do what you want 🤷♂️
Great advice....thank you
Yes sir! Well said! Agree! 👏☺️
This was informative. I always wondered Where people Have packages Sent
Bro if you say lotion or some type of lubricant
When I got a po box in Tustin, they actually told me that I could use my box # as an apt.
Thank you for all the info 👍
If your happy and not hurting anyone then thrive with your living arrangements. If your healthy and can live as a minamilist successfully then you have less to worry about. You seem to have figured out how to make it work.
This video made me think of the lyric… “Freedom’s just another word for nothing left to lose”.
Janis Joplin, Kris Kristofferson 🤔
We buy our own cages
THAT MENTAL IS IMPORTANT 🤍🍓
You never said where to buy the window covers or the small generator
Great informative video
Love to see it brother!
How about do an intro for your channel? I think it would do a lot for your growth.
A power station isn't a generator, Your car is the generator.
Doing it in between leases
If you have a modern phone you can have it charging from your car all night and it's not going to drain your battery because it's a new phone it's not going to keep pulling power after it's charged it's going to stop pulling power after it's charged
So many NPCs in this comment section. Yall a bunch of Agent Smiths.
@@gelatoruntz4200then don’t watch??
@@gelatoruntz4200 it's not crap. Many working ppl are being evicted from there homes. It's good advice for ppl who want or have to do this.
@@gelatoruntz4200 you can literally read up on the nation's homeless statistics. It's real not an excuse
@@gelatoruntz4200 ironic that you say that because him living in a car is NONmaterialistic. It's doesn't improve the ego to most.
@@alexmora8841 Lmao. He moved back home. Clearly he himself recognizes that this isn’t a great lifestyle.
Stay up
How many hrs of sleep do you average?
For me its more convenient to do this life style doing seasonal work out of state night shift. Instead of doing that driving back and forth between shifts not to mention cost of gas. Spending that same money on Airbnb or hotels just to sleep between shifts is also kind of impractical.
My shit 10 times worse especially on days I don’t work and I feel like I’m never going to get out of this car… It’s been two years. What do you mean don’t do this lifestyle Playa when I don’t got nowhere to go
Do you put window covers on the windshield and the driver and passenger doors?
You put them on all windows. People don't just peek in side windows.
Great video. How do I know if I have a positive mental attitude? I may think I'm ready when I'm actually not.
Tried living in a house and man im going back to living in my car cause its so clutter consuming and cant wait to be free
