    Hi Rachel ,
I'm used to writing essays about different topics in English , I find this way so beneficial to me coz I get along with techniques used in different types of writings besides , my vocabulary is enriched by new words and expressions however , pronunciation is still poor and I find myself unable to immitate native speakers hence , my face turns to red as soon as I set out a conversation with fluent English speakers .This is the lonely aberration I have been suffering of and I guess it's the most frequent problem for English learner's .I focus usually on the vocabulary , keeping words in mind and using them is free sentences without knowing how really to pronounce them to extent that I depend on my personal attempts .This case leads to uncertainty that's why I ponder over pronouncing some words for fear that I would commit ridiculous errors .I want you to guide me to the right solution please , I Know that you have an indisputable skills in English then keep teaching us .

I think it is really useful for us to analyze (with you) the films or any other visual and auditory video clips because the most difficult task for us is to recognize, reconnect and trace the sounds to their meaningful writing. For me in particular, the most difficult thing about American English is the acknowledgment/translation of the sounds heard, in their writing and meaning.

I think we need "a deep pronunciation analysis (like this) to boost our listening comprehension": this is the hardest obstacle to overcome, for every non-native learner.

The movie title is "On the Basis of Sex". The true story of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. In Brazil, "Suprema"; in Portugal, "Uma Luta Desigual".

Fantastic lesson, Rachel. It really takes courage for non- native speakers dropping the final "t" when we say "can't" or "don't", we aren't sure we will be understood. Nonetheless, thank you for teaching us real American English!
