Welcome to BBC EARTH! The world is an amazing place full of stories, beauty and natural wonder. Here you'll find 50 years worth of astounding, entertaining, thought-provoking and educational natural history content. Dramatic, rare, and exclusive, nature doesn't get more exciting than this.
This is a commercial channel from BBC Studios. Service & Feedback www.bbcstudios...
This buffalo reminds me of those mothers who forgot their kids in the airport or car.
"Phew! Hard work crossing the river. Congrats ya'll! We can eat more grass now... wait... where's my kid?"
The baby calf was too injured to move. The mother eventually had to leave it behind to follow the herd. The documentary is called "a wolf named storm".

Thanks baby
Man, Nature is so f******g Raw
Nature is cruel,and racist.
🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺
Nature has enough drama in it to make even Hollywood jealous :)
Facts
😂😂😂
Absolutely right ! Hollywood is nothing but false perceptions.
True!!!!!
True I prefer to watch these natural stories instead of fake and stupid movies
Title should be called, “Buffalo mother was too late to save her calf!”
Ur underrated brooo
Fck this channel, misleading title! I didnt come here to watch the Calf gets eaten..
@@strugglingsurvivor7858 its nature bro just let nature take its turn
That's stupid and not dramatic at all. Why take away the suspense and surprise by stating what happened? Then not as many people would watch thats a dumb comment
@@strugglingsurvivor7858 I did
" In these situations, it is hard to know who to hope for. A mother with an injured calf or a mother with puppies in her den" Sad but it is life. Without life there is no death
It's not difficult at all. You hope for the injured calf. When the wolves learn to eat plants I'll root for them.
@@TheLowerIntestine Except they can't eat plants for survival. Humans can but wolves digestive systems are not made for a diet of plants. I've seen to many fools with that mindset hurting their pets because they want them to be vegan to.
@@TheLowerIntestine i dont hope for that, the wolf can find a carcass some where in that cold land, only i can thank to his mother who came back to search her baby ,great great great..... but its animal she should keep taht calf close but they dont estimate it always good i guess , i wish that brave calf survived bcz a bison of bufflaw calf give a good fight i saw once and their bravery is astounishing.
@Balcony Found the vegan. Man, I love this game!
@@spectralassassin6030 humans really can't either
vegans all look 30 years older than they actually are and their teeth fall out
we are pretty much obligate to eat animal fats, in some form, whether it's eggs or flesh or milk
the human body can survive without it though for quite a while
Maternal instincts at opposite ends!
Seeing that buffalo running back looking for its missing baby is so humanizing.
The mother wolf was just trying feed her hungry & dying pups back the den

Thanks for not telling us the outcome BBC...
It gets eaten

lol
@ANGRY WRARRL your so clever
The outcome is whatever you want to be. You wanna a happy outcome? You can have a happy outcome
One mothers lost is another's gain
Not being the most intelligent of mammals, many ungulate mothers have been known to guard offspring even after predators have killed them.
Name one??
@@jer6162 mule deer, elk, bison, any animal to be honest.

So beautiful... "The Wolf or the Buffalo"
We. Need. More. Of. Storm. And. His. Pack!
BBC got some of the best nature footages!
the love of mother is indefinable & uncoutable.♥♥
@Animal Lover - go away
No love just instinct
Not every mother
*calf is being eaten by wolf*
*calf survives*
Wolf: “am i a joke to you?”
lol
The calf didn't survive.
Nature is so harmonious, peaceful, non violent, and loving. If only humans weren't around...
NATURE:
Did everyone just get recommended this 2 years later?
Calf died,it won’t survive with an injury anyway,it was already lagging
If a buffalo can go back in time!!
🤣Lol
Even if it's a joke it's too much
These BBC video with wolves vs. bufaloes are my favourite ones.
Doesn´t looks like the buffalo had protected the calf
the tittle said is damn
Bison*
yeah you would figure the mother made sure her baby is with her
Cruel world for "MOST" of us survival is fought for and earned!
In the end of the crossing after she lost it she was like : KEVIN!!
Cameraman never dies 😂
People dislike the video and are upset about nature.
Just when it was starting to get interesting the video ends
BBC leaving us wonder about the misterios ending of this clip. To be continued... or not! Great video 👍
Ismael Bonal probably not tho…
The wolf broke its spine, the bison didn’t die right away but slowly after a couple of minutes
@@checkmattor4235 ,
Well I mean, the calf probably died even if the mother ‘saved it.’ It would’ve been in a lot of pain and would be unable to keep up with the herd, eventually lagging behind and dying/getting left behind, or being picked off by another predator.
The calf probably died. the wolf made sure to lame it.
Wolves are great animals they are strong smart and beautifull
For those who have less idea about wild life, that calf is too injured to survive. Eventually mom will left it cause there is no hope & that wolf will complete it’s tusk after that.
I would feel betrayed if I were that calf.
Wow..... you call that protecting?!! I bet the calf would beg to differ!
Buffalo are the shit, they never leave a man behind.
Parents always keep an eye 👁 on your children.
I gotta stop watching these...too much anxiety.
if U want to be happy, Face it or Accept Life As It Is And Let Go Of What You Cannot Control.
same feeling, i cant stand to know.
I’m going to go get a burger .....
Omg! The calf is so cute!
The video is like “there’s a chance she can still save her calf” while the wolf is already eating its flesh 🤦♂️
No there was no chance, the calf was deeply injured and might die on its own.. That's why she left him there was no choice. They don't have hospital to get cured like we do this is nature
I'm for the wolf always
It's like parents who leave children in the cars.
You called that protection? Lol
@Borzova Alina What the hell
Damn, buffalo always winning. Keep your head up Bills fans
These are those types of moments, where you cant really chose sides
No I totally disagree I was on the wolves side before I even saw the video. Just wish they would've killed the mom too in front of her dying calf then they could both get eaten while still alive. That'd be a great documentary
Thanks for the cliffhanger.
The mother's negligence brought this misery to her calf.
You mean misery?
@@alwaysmycamera
Thanks for your correction.
@@Jesus.loves.you.123 you're welcome :)
Your baby is so cute says the wolf
Screw the calf.
1:23 man you missed the perfect opportunity to insert the beginning of Femme Fatale here
"here she comes, you better watch your step..."
Neither will give up until the outcome is known.
Oh sweet baby... Life truly sux for lil babes.... Y'ALL WHY U CUT THIS OFF???? Not fair
good show . i will protect my belongs and my kids from animals and from human beings too. thank you . how many buffalos in that herd ????
That's why the saying goes cunning as a wolf
That's what the wolf gets to keep on persevering! But at the same time, it was kind of sad the little bovine was eaten by the wolf.
سبحان الله أه يالأمومة كم انتي حنونة
She did not protect the calve. She neglected it
2:14 Well that's an easy one. You root for the animal you're making/watching the documentary about, of course.
As far as I can see, only humans are needlessly cruel.
Why does BBC have to use a fake thumbnail for this video? Had the wolf and calf even been together in the water?
To get more views..
Don’t you get fed up with BBC sound effects?
The cameras were hundreds of feet away, with zoom lenses but still we heard the splashing of water.
If you listen closely you can hear someone with a bucket of water and a stick.
Did the calf survive?
FIND OUT IN THE NEXT EPISODE
ड
Asdfghjkl No calf doesn't survive
I seriously doubt it
The calf fed the pups itself.
The calf did not survive this. Motehr can stay a while, but will leave after som time.
When will this be a full documentary! Small clips are not enough.
Nice wolf.Thanks
It's unfortunate the mother arrived late to save her baby...its BBC have left us with suspense we don't know if the baby survived or not.Nice video.
The calf died and the Bison had to move on. It's how nature works, wolves are vital for the eco system
Great video 👍👍
Beautiful wildlife
Spoiler alert in this title 🤔
The fact that they did not tell us the ending means the calf didn’t make it.
I’ve seen this whole video so I know the ending, great documentary

Always bet on the wolves 😏🐺
There should never be a distinction between good and evil in nature. Every living creature has its own needs that might be problematic for others. And everyone needs to win and lose sometimes to create a balance
I must say, the title is quite misleading
Wolves are nature's best predators.
@2:13 "its hard to know who to hope for" I bet this narrator eats hamburgers. As someone whose favorite animal are canines, and I also enjoy eating beef and veal, I'll root for the wolf. Otherwise I would be a hypocrite to be against the mother wolf who doing what is necessary for her family to eat.
I have a question, are buffaloes one of the wolves main diet?
I like wolves and I also like burgers. I know who I’m rooting for!
Мать когда видел не дышит малыш, сразу ругал волко😢💔
There are no crocodiles in the far north, the rivers and lakes are owned by the wolves.
I'm happy I don't have to run 30 mph and swim in muddy water to have a chance of a meal.*And that meal is really easy I only have to face an adult bison (sarcasm.)*
Is there a full video?
What kind of protection is this?
Awesome video.. however these are Bison, not buffalo, it’s a big difference. Like calling a lion a tiger, bison live in North America, buffalo live in Africa. They don’t even look the same lol
I have no trouble rooting for the buffalo.
where have you been before
The calf got deeply injured by the wolf and certainly die out of pain after some time.. that's why Buffalo left her calf and wolf get to eat. That's nature
“Buffalo mother was too late to save her calf!

they learn. i am lookin outside a cat which has given birth like 5 times . first only 1 survived. now 6 . also she has planty of children around the area :)
It was too late to come back
Looks like my dog trying to catch a toy in the water
Veal is majority's human favorite.
It's a typical dish of France and Italy in particular.
It should be special luxury dinner for a wolf, too.
Isn't veal made from venison?
Both mother desperate to save their next generation.

1. Storm
Maybe the calf couldn't move because the Wolf damaged it's wings.
Hi BBC I love your videos sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much
Charles here did the calf survive or not please tell me i 🙏 you charles here out
You lost me in the first 2 seconds. Bison, not buffalo.
Unlike the revanent this is the only way wolves actually know how to kill bison
Very good, realistic comment....
What buffalo? These are bisons!
Why is an educational network referring to bison as buffalo?
