  • Malaysia has urged for the elimination of the veto held by the five permanent members of the UN Security Council.
The country emphasised this change is crucial, especially in situations involving “mass atrocity crimes such as genocide, crimes against humanity or war crimes.”

That is exactly what is needed. This veto power goes against the principles of justice and democracy. Good call, Malaysia.

  • @MendeMaria-ej8bf

Exactly. There should be no veto. It's completely undemocratic and counterproductive.

What an example of diplomacy and democracy Malaysia has shown to the world.

  • @Vassi_Drakonov

A Malaysian here. Seriously, what gives US the right to have the final say in everything!?

  • @doksh5740

I believe strongly that the Veto power should be abolished. How can one country decide for the whole world what the decision will be ? It is ridiculous.

Remove the veto and send peacekeepers to Palestine. Palestinians need protection, stop the genocide!

Not the first time Malaysia has called for the abolition of the veto power.

I'm just a normal everyday person who is from Bristol in England , I apologize for all the destruction and hurt inflicted on the people of the Middle East by the British Government , and for not denouncing the Israeli attack and annihilation of Gaza as a genocide , it is truly shameful !

  • @reissamaan

The world is not afraid to call out UN voting corruption bias. We need more countries to speak out what Malaysia has called for.

Malaysia is becoming a geopolitical player at this point. Good job Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. Greetings from Philippines, our President is a personal friend of yours. More power to both of you.

Veto should be abolished. Thanks for raising this issue Malaysia. This the voice of pretty much all the states of the world except some politicians😢

  • @bobbobby7536

    Thank you Malaysia ❤

Agree, the world didnt need America to make decision. Decision made by majority country not one country.

Alhamdulillah for this teeny tiny small nation call MALAYSIA. May Allah accept this small gesture, this small effort to help our brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, children, pets in Gaza and the whole PALESTINE the justice they should get.

  • @BRNNTNT

It's time that someone stand up and speak out about the abuse of veto power.
