Tip for rust start with a dark reddish brown (old rust) starting with bright oranges is not a good thing cause bright rust is fresh rust it tones down in color as it gets older next after you apply the reddish brown pick an area on it where water would accumulate causing new rust then apply a bright rust color then take a dark orange rust pigment and dab the rust patach it doesn't matter it it goes slightly outside the patch as rust tends to stain its surrounding avoid heavy rust washes only apply to the new rust to simulate water carrying rust down from it and staining
Hey, I have a question, I've watched a lot of terrain build videos. Not for the technique but trying to decide if it worth building and trying to sell . But , the thing that keeps me from going forward it. I have never read a book or storyline for a tabletop game suxmch as warhammer , d & d , or any other but the lore for each seems rather intriguing. But, the question is to build the terrain does one need to have knowledge of the storyline or just the skills to build . Multiple variations of industrial, medieval , and sci-fi type terrains setting?
It might help to know the general aesthetic, if you're trying to build for a specific game system or replicate certain things, but I don't believe knowing the lore is necessary to build cool stuff. Some people even prefer generic terrain because they play multiple games but don't have the space for multiple terrain collections.
Love when you brought out the power drill! Also the little "Ching" when the greebles on the roof appeared was cute. Great video, lovey!
Awesome idea for a terraforming plant. Genius!
Amazing!!! I love the way you did a start to finish video. Very satisfying! Please keep em coming! I love scratch terrain! 🎉
Pretty cool, love the paint.
Super cool and looks playable to. Makes me think of Blade Runner. Thanks for participating.
Thanks for having me along. I had fun with this build.
this turned out great.
Looks like a NOD power plant from Tiberian Sun
It does, yeah. Who knew random bird feeders would be a good shape for Nuclear cooling towers?
To quickly clean hole like on the transparent bird feeder part, a step drill bit usually helps. Saves you some manual work.
Nice scratch build, thanks!
Cool scratchbuild.
