This is the best tassel tutorial for my taste. I love the different lengths and think Essex of fabrics, strings, and laces. I love the chunky charm dangle and what a clever idea to put charms and beads throughout the tassel. Thanks for sharing.

Just so you know....I appreciate many of your tutorials and stop in quiet often when I forget "how" to do something. Twice now i used this tassel tutorial, I needed to refresh my memory how to do it,lol. So I just wanted you to know that in case your interested. thank you for helping me! Jessica, you totally made my day! Your tutorial is the best I've seen yet! (the others use glue or tie knots) I want to sew my tassels. Plus your style of tassels with beads, bells, etc is my favorite. It's like having lots of little treasures tucked in there. I've been dying to figure out how to make "Cool Mom" tassels! I already have a bunch of lace, beads & bells in my stash, ready to be used. BTW, I think this cover turned out AMAZING! The spine looks fantastic with the Mcalls pattern info. It looks like a book title! I wouldn't want to cover that up either. So looking forward to the flip through of this one!! Thanks for the great inspiration and instruction! 💕

Thank you for sharing this technique, I really like your charm/tassel combo. I will use a zipper foot to sew, that may be a little easier =) So generous of you to share these things!

Thank you so much for this amazing video 😊 Yesterday I looked at my charms supplies without having any idea what to do 🙁... and today I created 5 nice dangle charms after watching this video... The concept of how to combine big and small elements, beads etc. helped me a lot. Best regards from Germany 😊
I made a tassel for my beach journal and I used one of those large clips you make bracelets with ( wish I could send a pic because I feel as if it is much easier to make. No hot glue ). I just fold over the lace and ribbon and tie it with another piece of ribbon. Then clip on the charms. It's sleek looking, not too wide.

I love that charm😍!!! Lol idk what it is but it is so dang cute!!! I love sewing it's one of my little "mama time" enjoyments along with crafting and diy and planning and all that fun stuff. I love making tassels as well I love those clips from Tim Holtz I have not been able to find them at my Michael's and I want to so I can make them to go onto my two kiddos memory books I made for them. You got me hooked on junk journals and I want to attempt to make one for my daughter, this year she's going into 2nd grade and I want to make one for 2nd grade with little things and photos and make it fun. Have you made one school related like that? If so I would love to see some photos or of you have any ideas on how and what I should use and how to go about creating one. I would appreciate it tremendously. Love your junk journals they are ALL absolutely gorgeous and love how unique and personalized to be so completely different than the next. Thank you for sharing all of your tips and tricks and how you create them. It's so fun to watch and see how you do it and make it so clean and professional and not a sloppy mess lol. +I'm A Cool Mom Thanks for sharing this. I'm not very good with My pliers but I just have these 3 in one pliers & a flat pair with rubber pads on. The padded ones are great for adding metal corners & filigrees on Your Journals but the 3 in one thing is impossible to navigate. I really want to make the chunky charms too. Is everything okay now with the trolling situation? I had a few weird comments on My channel with Someone hounding My subs for not telling Me off for having tattoos & some other crazy stuff

Does the ring fastener brad ends get in the way when you sew your signatures in the spine?

I get them from Tim holtz! I did have some in my Etsy shop but just sold out. Check Joann or michaels online!

They are called jump rings in the US but they can be bought on eBay very cheaply.
