- Hello everyone! This week I sang I Am A Girl Like You from Barbie, The Princess And The Pauper!
For the past few months, my friends and I have been watching Barbie and Bratz movies from our childhood. Bratz movies are just wild but Barbie movies, those are something very special. The fact that a song tHIS GOOD came from a Barbie movie??? Incredible. Truly stunning.
I’d be lying if I said this wasn’t inspired by the memes tho.
I recorded this bad boy when I was a lil sick (specifically the Annalise part), but hey, we make due.

Omg yes I used to have the VHS Barbie movie too until I lost it at school. Since it was movie day we could bring in our fav movies but the teacher mixed up the covers with the other kids and I came home with the Mickey’s 3 musketeer movie 😭

I never noticed this until I was older, but I like that Erika is the one to point out that they’re the same. Even though she’s the less fortunate one, she focuses on their similarities instead of their differences. She doesn’t make it a competition or minimize Annalise’s struggles by getting angry and saying how Annalise has it so easy compared to her. Erika is the best character idc idc 💙

I never realized how old barbie movies influenced my childhood until I saw recent barbies that is only there so that the children could look at and not teach the children actual lessons. That was a very convenient moment to find this video, i know that it's already old, but honestly i'm feeling pretty better now, my grandma passed away recently, and i remember to watch Barbie movies with her when i was a kid, she was already pretty old and was her favorite, she loves that song and always sing the parts she remembered, and to make her comfortable i used to sing with her, i always singed the "princess" voice since my voice was more "feminine" when i was a kid, i really miss her, but it makes me more comfortable...

It's crazy how you can do both voice so differently! Heck, in all your covers you just alter your voice so perfectly it sounds just like the character. The crazy part about it is you can not only talk like this you can *sing like it too* .With that much power you could fight *God* .
