Egg Roll Wrapped Pies

- This will be the best pie you have ever had. No need to have to slice a whole pie. Try these little egg roll wrapped pies and you will be amazed. The cherry with the cream cheese and the caramel apple, oh my goodness. You will want to make these over and over. They are so easy and quick to put together and cook. These are delicious at any time of the year. Make them for your next holiday or any gathering you have. I promise they will be a big hit.
I made cherry and cream cheese filling, apple and caramel filling with extra caramel to dip in.
I would like to make peach and make a dipping sauce of sour cream, sprinkled with brown sugar. Do not stir. The brown sugar will melt into the sour cream. Dip the peach pies in that. I can just taste it as I think about it.
Follow the directions in the video. There is not really a recipe for these, just instructions needed.
You will need:
Egg Roll Wrappers (find them in the produce section)
Pie filling of your choice
Extras of your choice for dipping.
Oil in pan to come up about 2 inches.
Roll pie filling in egg roll wrapper, secure, fry in hot oil.
Enjoy!

A while back, I had some extra egg roll wraps left over, so we tried this with pie filling and confectioner's sugar on top. YUM!! Thank you for sharing an inexpensive find!

My mom and I enjoy using eggroll and gioza wraps for a simple little treat - fry the wraps (no fillings, just flat in pan) and as soon as we take them out, we sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon 😋 They are an easy version of making “buñuelos”.*

Brand new viewer here.... this looks so easy with the egg roll wrappers! I am anxious to try this! I've made apple jacks, blueberry, pumpkin, and sweet potato before. I think they'd all be great with the egg roll wrappers.

These remind me of my childhood. My family used to go camping every weekend and we would make little pies over the fire. There was a device, they still sell in some camping stores, which had long handles with a round part in the center. You would butter the center, put in a piece of bread, then your pie filling, the other piece of bread, and lock the handles. It took about 5 minutes total. Exactly like pie!

In Australia when we go out bush we use that tool we call a jaffle iron. We use it for filled toasted sandwiches and then for deserts to make mini pies.. taste so amazing on an open fire 🐨
Yes! They’re call ‘mountain pies’.
(My grandkids love them made with a Hershey Chocolate Bar inside & sprinkled with powdered sugar)

I have never used those wraps in my life. Fried pies are what we enjoyed at McDonalds (cherry and apple) when we were little.
Reading through the comnents I can see your viewers already have thought of different fillings.
I would probably try guava and cream cheese. They sell the fruit in a slab here, and it can be cut and used in pastries.

I do these with the flavored cream cheese & they're so good. Love both the wildberry & brown sugar ones for a sweet. For savory I use the garlic chive.
I'll also make it with ham lunch meat & cheese. Plus the garlic chive cream cheese. So delicious.
But I'm definitely going to be trying these out.
I wonder if it would would work with some fresh chopped pecans & pecan pie filling. Also if you haven't had one before try making a brown sugar pecan pie recipe. I made it last year thinking it would be less sugary than corn syrup but it was even sweeter. But amazingly rich & sweet & good.
All those sound yummy 😋. There are so many possibilities. I add brown sugar in pecan pie sometimes but I still use the corn syrup. I want to try these pies with the pecan pie filling 😋 ❤️

Hi Karen When I lived in Texas 40 years ago I made these and sold them in a small bar/ pizzaria that a friend. and I owned. It was a family friendly place . Families would come in with their kids & play games, eat pizza and have these & take some home, they loved them. They are easy to make & taste great!
