    Glad you chose to show the maintenance of the camper! Rarely see this side of adventure.

    Once again, your video comes at the perfect time! (Previous was about the Fireside fire pit.) Husband and I returned from camp and talking about doing maintenance on our teardrop. First time for us since getting it in Oct 2022.
    Thanks for the demo! And the humor 🤭

    Maintenance is so easy and really inexpensive, especially if you don’t have a water tank. If I had a complaint with the teardrop industry is that they don’t typically provide this kind of info.
    Good, clear instructions. Lots of people are going appreciate this.

      So true 👍🏻 Timberleaf does a great job in their owner portal and has a couple videos as well, but totally agree on the industry overall. Hope it was clear, always so stressful putting yourself out there with advice on the interwebs 😅

      @@WheresWiseman it’s very clear and easy to follow. You did a great job. So glad you showed the use of a torque wrench. Ours is easier because we can add the grease without removing our wheel which is not as fancy as yours.

    Nice, glad to see how easy it is to do the maintenance, which I was a bit hesitant to do on my Kestrel.

    Good video and very helpful. I just did my Timbrens and coupler about a week ago - I wish I would have known about the Lock n Lube before that!! That will be the next addition to my garage!! Although my trailer brand is different than yours I have the same setup as yours. Recommendation on the rust: spray WD40 liberally on the effected areas and then wirebrush the corrosion away. Then treat the area with silicone spray once or twice per year as a preventative, depending on your usage. Re-treat with WD40 as needed. That's always worked for me on the heavily salted roadways of Maryland and Pennsylvania - before relocating to Texas.

      Thanks for the tip!! So simple but that nozzle makes projects like this a breeze 👌🏻

    For rust control I use a product called fluid film. It is a lanolin based product it literally stops rust.

    Thank you for this! Have you had to retorque the main bolt on the timberen suspension yet? The manual says to torque it to 470lbs. I’m not sure how I’m going to do that and I can’t find a shop that will work on a trailer in my area. Thanks again for the great video. Super helpful!

      @WheresWiseman  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, Michael! We have not had to re-torque anything on the suspension itself, so can't help there, yet... If anything, at that level, I would just tighten as much as you can!!

    Question about your JK differential gearing. You are running 35 inch tires I believe. What gearing do you have in your JK and does that work well when pulling trailer under different conditions? How did you determine the gears you needed. I also have a JK and pull similar trailer and have 33 inch tires though can tell I need to regear. Currently have 3.21 ratio gears. Any suggestions? Thanks

      I'm no pro on regearing, however upgrading made a huge difference. Almost drives like stock again. Have 37's and went with 5.13's. Not sure what would work best for 33's but bet there's lots of recommendations across the Interwebs. A stop by a good local 4x4 shop like Aaron's Olympic 4x4 or Northridge would probably be best 👌🏻
